    Oil pressure gauge problem

Did you try disconnecting the wire from the sensor? 0 ohms sounds like the sensor is shorted, if I'm reading that correctly.

Greeting from the, X-tire capitol of the world.

Welcome to GMSB. Nice to see someone from North Coast here. Just out of curiosity, and another one of your posts kind of suggested it, is your truck right-hand drive, or are most of the vehicles around you being driven on the wrong side of the road?

    Test Drive Etiquette

I'd be dipped if I'd assume the liability of letting someone I have no knowledge of drive a vehicle I own. If the customer knows enough about what they're buying they will be able to make their evaluation based on an inspection and a test ride as a passenger. If they don't, recommend they have a...

    C10 vs K10 rearend

I believe you are correct, but it wouldn't hurt to check, and inquiring minds want to know.

    C10 vs K10 rearend

Since you can compare them side by side check the length of the shock mounts and the pinion angle. Is the new one the same ratio as your old one? You can probably swap your 5-lug axles into the new rear.

    Pure SEX!

Only first gen Corvettes had solid axles. These are all IRS. *At least you spelled axel right. ;)

    Brake rubbing sound?

It's possible that the pads on the backing plate that the shoes ride on may need some grease. If the drum is a little eccentric it wil move the shoes around and make them rub on those pads. Naturally make sure everything is functioning and adjusted properly while you're in there.

    ID marks

There were a few turbo kit makers in the day. That one is not a Banks or ATS, I suspect you're going to be doing some internet research. The early oil pressure senders were prone to shorting. I was driving in to Brooklyn once when the truck was new and looked down to see the gauge pegged. Not...

    Np208 transfer case brace

I think the bracing has a lot more to do with the up and down of the chassis than the torque the powerplant applies.

    My thoughts on spare alternators

Long time ago a friend was driving tow trucks and occasionally he'd be doing a late night job and he'd ask if I wanted to ride along. So one time we go into Queens with an older GMC to pick up a box truck. On the way out he notes that the alternator isn't charging, but we're almost there and...

What have you done to your square lately??

Pictures of the bed! No wait! That doesn't sound right either! I just wanted pictures of how well the lights work. Oh gawd. How did this go sideways?

    6.2 compressor brackets needed.

They likely used a DA6 compressor. Look on RotAuto to see what they look like. I'll try to get you some photos tomorrow.

I never knew how hot P/S fluid gets. New conversion. Pic's inside.

Well, that was impressive. That first Charger would have concerned me because the state police around here drive a lot of those. And I thought it was only around here that people tried to merge with a 50 MPH speed differential. Maybe they were from New York. Good video.

    82 K20 4x4 Diesel swap

The pickups in the fuel tanks are different. The motor mounts and frame brackets are different. The transmission, as noted, is different. The gauges and senders are different. If you want the factory fuel filter setup, there's a separate harness for the water in fuel and glowplug indicator on...

    82 K20 4x4 Diesel swap

Torque converter has a lower stall speed as well.

    82 K20 4x4 Diesel swap

The diesels used different motor mounts and mounting brackets on the frame. However that doesn't mean they won't bolt up to small block mounts. See what I mean by subjective?

    82 K20 4x4 Diesel swap

"Just bolt in" is a highly subjective term. But being a GM product there is decent interchangeability.

    82 K20 4x4 Diesel swap

Here we go again.... The 6.2/6.5 engine is usually "okay" if you accept it for what it is. If you're looking for an acceptable street driver that is good on fuel, ask your doctor if 6.2 is right for you. If you're looking for reasonable towing power (not Duramax or Powerstroke power) it could...

Air in fuel lines after sitting over night on 6.2

Would be nice if they had a picture of that first one. It may or may not be correct. A "set screw" it is not.

Well, it might fix it. Just don't stand near it when you do.

    1985 K10 6.2- won’t turn over

Right. And if they don't come out, screw them back in before you crank the engine. That compression can launch things.
