    1987 Chevy V10 steering wander

I'll call them this week, gonna be tough to watch them with work schedule. As for using a fishing scale on ball joint preload, how exactly would I do that? Just hook the scale right onto the knuckle then pull?

    1987 Chevy V10 steering wander

Had the alignment done and it still feels the same, maybe a bit better, when I did the ball joints the knuckle preload did feel tight. Maybe this is the issue ? Should I loosen the preload sleeves on the upper ball joints?

    Toe adjustment 1987 V10

I think the driver side with the hole in the TRE is way too long, I still have about 2 inch of thread left on it, the adjusting tube doesn't thread that deep. On my 87 v10 originally come with the 7/8 long adjustment tube or was something swapped?

    Toe adjustment 1987 V10

I have an 87 v10 and my toe is out, the front end of my front tires are poking away from each other. I have the long adjustable tie rod with the tie rod ends on each end. I have adjusted the tie rod as far as it will go and the tires still aren't close to parallel. It's almost like my tie rod...

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

Sorry have been busy, I checked the cylinder and looked good with bore scope. The timing was way too far advanced, the tbi computer was putting it way out of spec. I got the timing right and all is good, plug looks good and no misfires

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

I didn't notice any chunks hanging around in the cylinder with the bore scope. There was small pock marks on top of the piston and some carbon flakes I believe. What should cranking compression be and do I just remove that plug for the compression test ?

Spark plug gap closed fresh rebuild

Motor turns over fine by hand, I bought a bore scope and looked in there and saw a few black pieces very small and couldn't tell what it was. Could it be carbon ? The cylinder walls look pretty clean but seemed like the crosshatch looked a little deep. Didn't notice any gouges or chunks...

Sorry for lack of info, this was professionally rebuilt by local shop just a stock tbi 350, I changed all the plugs after break in and this didn't happen. I went to drive it and it ran like crap under load in gear, as changing plugs again this is what I found. I am hoping it is timing because I...
