    Whats your opinion these welders?

@Vbb199 I have A LOT of experience with the MIG steel side of the Vulcan 220. It's an awesome machine and I actually like it better than my Hobart 190 and all the Hobart 210's that I've used a bunch. Now, I haven't used it for much sheetmetal, but the little bit I have used it for that, it did...

    Weird Brackets

Iirc, they just keep debris from getting up behind the bedside and taillight area.

    Hello from Virginia

Yeah, and that other DD vehicle can even be registered in another state besides VA to meet that qualification. It's very relaxed laws, compared to other states.

What new tools have you got lately?

I need a bicycle like that! It's a bit of a long walk between my house and barn/garage and I can't afford an SXS. But I can probably maybe afford a 3 wheeler bicycle!

    What gears

Yep! Exactly! Keeping rpm/speed ratios similar to stock doesn't work with more rolling resistance and more wind resistance. Especially when trying to mimic the tall ratios GM did in the 80's.

Agreed. If there was a "Thrifty Genius" award around here, it would go to @Ricko1966 every year I'm sure.

C30 dually rear brake line and bolt sizes

The line that goes to the rear hose is 1/4" line. Just the standard stuff you get at the parts store, the tube nut will be the correct size. The lines from the rear hose to the wheel cylinders are 3/16" line. Same deal, the tube nuts will be correct for the wheel cylinders. I don't recall the...

Does 33x12.50R15 fit at the rear of a 2wd C10 with stock suspension, stock 8x15 wheels

400+hp and burnouts is always risky with the 10 bolt rear, no matter the tire size. As long as it doesn't wheel hop or do anything else that would create high shock loads, you *should* be fine.

    Meet my Suburban

Howdy from Ohio! I love seeing Suburbans getting some love, rather than being parts rigs for pickup trucks!

What have you done to your square lately??

Iirc, you definitely don't have the orange. The orange interior was pretty damn uncommon. I'll see if I can steal, I mean "find" a picture from Google. *Edit* Google says this picture is from 67-72chevytrucks.com

86 Chevy k10 No start and no crank

If auto trans, try starting with the shifter in different positions. If manual, hit the clutch to the floor several times and try starting. If it doesn't start at that point, you'll have to start checking power like mentioned above.

Transfer Case Info for OEM Squarebodies

Lol, the theft of ORD's info here is substantial. I'm surprised at the lack of auto hubs out west. It seems like every 80's GM truck in Ohio originally came with auto hubs. Of course now, of the ones that are still left, they typically have manual hubs because the auto hubs were problematic.

    Suburban frame interchange

Yeah, use the body bushings that match the frame, not the body. If the '77 front clip is not being retained, there will be some adjustments needed for the '88 radiator support to sit where it needs to.

    Sagging doors: where to start?

Yeah, if you don't want to jump right into replacing the full bushing set, just removing those shims should do a lot of good. Just loosen most of the fender to cab bolts before doing so. You will want to loosen the lower fender bolts, the bolts that hold the fender liners to the cab and also...

    Motor mounts

I've never thought about installing the through bolts first before. I can see where that could definitely help when installing some of the "less than perfect" mounts from the parts stores.

I believe it helps pay the bills and keep things running. I know it seems odd to advertise stuff like this, but there must be enough people here that also have newer trucks to make it worth their while.

Yeah I know. I just thought it was an interesting video and it happened to pop up the same day as this thread. It's funny though, when I watched it, I thought to myself "Huh, those free standing cylinders are a terrible idea." Lol
