New one wire alternator/voltmeter gauge question

Rick, Davis, Br Rick, David & Bruce, thanks for taking time to answer. Bruce I have the Painless (30700) charge wire kit and talked to CVF about how to run the correct ground from the alternator. I was "almost" sure I was on the right track about the VOLTMETER. My truck has one as opposed to...

New one wire alternator/voltmeter gauge question

My new engine came with a nice 140 amp 1 wire alternator. The question is ....... Can I connect this to my stock voltmeter gauge? I've read/been told 20 different answers. Been told it will be OK. Been told if you hook it up, it'll fry the new alternator. If so, which wire is it and does it...

Battery negative ground question..... again, sorry !

I have tried to look through posts on this but didn't find a good answer. I know the negative battery cable "should" be grounded at the alternator bracket. But.... now I have this nice Blueprint engine with the serpentine set up. It has really nice powder coated brackets. I don't see a place to...

HA ! Welcome from of all places........... Olive Branch. There's a "cruise -in" at Snowden Grove on Getwell Rd every Thursday night, if you run out of things to do. It's in the parking lot of the Planter's Bank by the bridge over Getwell. Always a few trucks there.

Anyone have a CVF power steering pump? What pressure hose to use?

Thanks, Greg. I'll check that out ! FYI........ I removed the port fitting on the CVF pump and was able to use the one from my old PS pump. This let me use the original type pressure hose, O-ring type, on the new pump. (Just be warned about the spring inside and don't let the guts of either...

Anyone have a CVF power steering pump? What pressure hose to use?

I have the Blueprint 350 engine that came with the CVF power steering pump. Of course, I have a new "stock" pressure hose that isn't close to mating up with the port on the pump. Anyone already figured this out as to what hose to use. CVF gives a parts list and has a kit to build a braided line...

    Southeastern Chevy/GMC Truck Nationals - Lebanon, TN July 7 & 8

They said there was 1,692 trucks registered for the show. Not too shabby. It was hot but no rain for a change. (I jinxed myself on that statement........ Stormed and rained for about 230 of the 270 miles home today)

What have you done to your square lately??

I used NAPA parts for a long time. Usually great parts, but a little more $$. Lately, their stuff is not as good and still pricey. (The local NAPA has only one guy who has a clue about anything. Of course he's always off when I go there) Got frustrated at them for the new/rebuilt front calipers...
