Fershure man the new rad will probably help out heres the cheap equis gauge on mine reads 230 normally but will go up to 245° when I'm doing a long up hill (there's a 50mile uphill grade where I live have to go up when I go visit my mom in the boonies) hopefully you get it where you like but...- Ajax19

ok, few questions, is it boiling over? did you happen to move the temp sensor to the head?as in was it in the intake before and now it's in the head, reason I say that on my truck I put one in the head and reads about 230-240 if it's not boiling over it's ok because that's one of the hottest...- Ajax19

Where is the sensor? if it's in the head it will read high unless it's pissing out the cap your probably fine- Ajax19

Heck yea man I think I'll be painting it original Silver and white and drive it for a bit already had offer to double my money but I think it will be the next daily while I do some more work to the 83 it's gonna clean up nicely -

Might not work if they are cast iron but you could take a punch and peen it if they are aluminum I'd give it a shot another option is to make some serrations on the stud so it bites -

Decided to do the coolant drain and fill I only have the diff and t case fluids left then she'll be all caught up on maintenance for a bit next will be the body and suspension bushings then I can finish up the metal work -

Hard to tell in the pictures but that one stud looks taller so maybe it pulled it self out I know that was a common issue on the stock blocks but I figure blueprint wouldnt have that problem where's the pushrod maybe it's to short I have been planning on a blueprint in the long far off future... -

Maybe it's just the area your in I'm in San Diego so there's plenty of oldies with original paint in good condition and plenty of modern cars with peeling clear like my 96 jeep zj and 2005 Silverado the paint is completely trashed while my 43 year old square still holding up even though it needs... -

Thanks man but we all know manufacturers are using the cheapest paint (and parts) available because the old cars paint held up for ever now clear coats are peeling in a few years and now you get plastic bumpers instead of steel but your right the urethane paint dose have a good look to it and I... -

The Paint might be cheap but it's meant for equipment and is a hell of a lot stronger then you think I'm putting my truck in the trees and bushes everyday the only thing it didn't hold up was to the 3/4 DG and mud flinging from doing 4wd launches out back but I guarantee no paint will that's...
