Today I picked up and installed my re-ulphostered seat. Not perfect but a darn sight better as there is no big ole burn hole anymore! Also replaced the glove box plastic as the hinge finally gave out. With this done my list of Squarebody projects is done! Time to drive and enjoy and take to... -

Removed my bench seat and took to ulphostery shop for recovering. It was in decent shape except for a big burn hole that was there when I bought it. -
I finally gave up.
Apparently they have a lot of practice doing cancellations and refunds. I got a check in a few days. It was from a Truist account so I went straight to a local branch got the cash and took that to my bank. Was relieved there were no hang ups. They also refunded the applicable shipping charges. -

I finally gave up.
Based on a tip from @andybflo i looked into Cheyenne Truck Parts and ended up ordering from them. Complete kit, dyed the correct Burgundy. Took 8 days from order to installed. Made the 18 month waste of time with USA1 even more ridiculous. Live and learn. Dash looks good and popped right in... -

Thank you for the info @rwjtexas. I’m ordering the dash in black and will dye it. Have some experience with dying from doing my door panels after reading threads here on how and what to use. Do you recommend fitting it first, then dying it and then installing? -

Bought a OBD/OBD2 scanner to read trouble codes, diagnose and clear codes after repairs. So far very pleased with it. Even sends me reports via email. -

Got the refund check, cashed it and put cash back in truck account. Now I can move forward with getting a new dash pad. -

I had a shop look at mine yesterday and the owner said he could re-cover it, but it would have visible seams. Don’t think I want that. -

i asked Dashes Direct yesterday if they had the dash in any colors other than black. Their response? “You can contact USA 1 Industries and they can dye the dash pad for you.” I almost screamed........lol -

Didnt mention this but I did go to the NC BBB website and filed a complaint against USA1. Not surprisingly their rating is an F. -

After waiting 18 months for my dash pad kit, I finally gave up and told USA1 to pound sand. What a frustrating experience. I should have done this months ago. Needless to say will NEVER place an order with USA1 again. Once the refund clears I will be dash pad shopping again. Any... -

Appreciate the feedback. I will never buy a new car; fortunately the wife goes along with me in this regard but the fact this car was her fathers is causing some hesitation to dump it as quick as we can. Maybe input from the worlds greatest engineer will help:- WFarm

Do radiator repair shops pressure test radiators after a repair? I would think a pressure test for 10 minutes or so at maybe 125% of design pressure would reveal bad spots and help with the “Fix or Scrap” decision. -
Which Mirrors are BEST quality?
