LED exterior light conversion! not going well :(

same experience, and yes my crystal ball was cracked a long time ago. One of my employers gave way too much away. We got into it several times over free repairs. That's actually happened to me several times along with vehicles running out of gas either on road test or in the shop. It's very hard to deal with the public. Could never be a service writer [well actually I could] but would only last a week until I was arrested.- fast 99

While I agree there are shops that may do questionable work. However it is not the norm, at least here. Have been in both the towing industry and repair for 30+ years. I know almost every shop owner in this area. After folks get a vehicle repaired they pay much more attention to details than...- fast 99

Yes, clean fluid. I have found the fastest way to bleed those systems is reverse bleed. Remove all the fluid from master with a turkey baster, leave lid off. Using a new clean pump oil can filled with brake fluid and vacuum tubing attached open slave bleeder. Pump fluid in until master is...- fast 99

Loose timing chain replacement
If I had a cover laying around I would take a picture to show the modification. Easy to do. Front cover will be very hard / impossible to re-install without the modification or removing pan.- fast 99

Intake Manifold RTV Dry Times
Working in a shop setting, no time to wait on sealers. Have installed intakes with both regular automotive RTV and Right Stuff and sent them down the road in a couple hours, no issues. Important part is clean surfaces.- fast 99

Loose timing chain replacement
Hardest part will be reinstalling front cover. Will need to be modified for installation unless oil pan is removed. Corners of inner edge for front pan seal need to be ground down diagonally. Use a little RTV where the cover meets the block and pan. I generally use blue Locktite on cam bolts...- fast 99

AC Belt vibrations
There is a small bracket under the compressor that occasionally is left off. Will vibrate without it. Just looked at one mounted it's impossible to get a decent picture. May be someone can post an exploded view. Other possibilities are belt as previously mentioned, bad compressor, pressures... -
Chrome bumpers comparison ?
Front bumper from LMC has been on 2 years. No rusting but it has been in storage for 1/2 the time. Chrome wasn't great and material is thinner than original. If you want a nice bumper get the original redone and willing to pay up. Chrome plating here has always been expensive, now its crazy...- fast 99

It's possible to check for stuck metering rods by inserting a small screwdriver down into the bowl vent. When rod holder is lightly pushed down it should spring back. If not metering rods are stuck. Yes, as a test could disable air pump for a short drive. Did you check exhaust with a load? Really doesn't take much of a leak to cause a backfire.- fast 99
