Auto A/C vacuum pump. lots of CFM or Less CFM whats best?? A/C tech's please help.
An acquaintance who owns a used car lot bought some cheap supposedly virgin refrigerant. Sealed in the box. He ended up replacing entire ac systems on every car that got some of it from corrosion.- fast 99

Certainly, changing over to 134 has been done for 20 years at least. There is a lot of information on how to do it successfully. Refrigerant oil is different, seals, drier, orifice tube, replacing hoses and flushing is sometimes needed. Most of the work could be done in the backyard environment... -
Needing some help
Agree, unless a donor vehicle is available. Pictures are too dark. Don't need to see the entire engine compartment just the component you're questioning. Am guessing but appears to be an aftermarket system. Would likely be more cost effective to buy a new complete system. -

Why? 134 is available in most states and still not expensive. Back of can says be careful with flammable substances but doesn't actually say what is in the can. Hard Pass -

Damper seal or pan gasket? Damper seal can be replaced without pulling pan. If pan is pulled do yourself a favor buy a one-piece gasket.- fast 99

Where to buy stock mechanical fuel pump that isn't trash?
Went through a couple new bad pumps. What I found was the cheaper ones did not have a return spring on top of the pump arm. The arm stuck 1/2 way down resulting in low volume. Yes, it's called blending. Color is applied and feathered out. Then clear coated over the entire area. There will not be a visible blend line where color and clear coat ends. Normally that could easily be repaired and blended lots of area to feather the color. Many new mix colors make matching difficult, and it could be an issue if this was painted with an old formula. Rear dually wheels
I tried 235 16's on a dually. Sidewalls would touch when loaded, very close when not. Ended up installing 215's. OEM wheels are the same with either a cab and chassis or dually pickup. A/C design
You're in for a lot of work. I took a complete factory AC unit out of a parts car and installed it in another vehicle, same year, model and engine. Had both vehicles side by side in the shop, never again. Seemed like a reasonably easy job but turned out taking 3+ days over 20 hours labor. -

Need an actual number, carb performance [fuel level] depends on correct fuel pressure and adequate volume. Low pressure/volume engine runs out of fuel/lean. High pressure carb can't hold it back, overflows or runs rich. Some part stores have loaner tools.- fast 99

454 problems timing/carb?
Does it crank evenly if ignition is disabled? If not do a compression check. Install a vacuum gauge is it steady, what is the reading? Check fuel pressure- fast 99
