What have you done to your square lately??

I'm not sure, I haven't even owned it even a year yet an it was like that when I got it. I would assume someone just kept topping it off or let it get low an the process started then. Dex an low levels/air don't play well either. Personally anything I get with dexcool pretty quickly gets a...

LMC truck gas tanks, senders and brackets

LMC should be a last resort or only used for they items only they have. You can find the same thing, probably better quality an definately cheaper elsewhere. Rock auto is fine for normal replacement parts at a good price.

What have you done to your square lately??

I just had to redo the entire cooling system on my daily buick because of that crap. Probably going to flush it a couple more times still. Half the radiator was clogged with that dexcool mud looking junk. Thankfully the engine side seems to be ok an just muddy looking water flushed out of it.

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

Ya I saw those an thought about asking them too. The one on the right is from 88-98 trucks use a M8x1.25 thread. Worst case an M8 one could work for both generations I think.

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

One side is 5/16-18, the other is thread cutting into the fiberglass of the fender. OL is about 2" Rivnuts would bust the fiberglass when you try to set/crimp them. The holes into the fender are blind. I guess you could epoxy a rivnut in but then you would have a tough time installing them...

    Thinkin about my Jetta

We have a 13 TDI jetta, it's been an OK car. Everytime something breaks on it it's down 2 weeks an minimum $600. 3 weeks after I bought it the dpf clogged an VW did $5800 worth of warranty work to it. They had it for a month. Thankfully it was still covered under the extended emissions...

    Dually guys, need your opinions!

Who would buy a kit of rear fender bolts? Would you prefer it per fender, a kit for both fenders, individual bolts? What would that be worth to you in each option? I can't find these anywhere an I'm looking at having some made for 73-98 but it's a steep initial buy in an waaayyyy more than...

    installing drop spindle

With a 17x8 you shouldn't need to trim the a-arms, that's usually only an issue with a 15x8. You will have to bend the brake line slightly for clearance around the upper ball joint nut. Not really a big deal though.

What have you done to your square lately??

Most replacement condensers are parallel flow type now, since it's almost impossible to find r12. It should look more like a radiator with small fins than the OE one with a larger tube appearance. GPD 3612C is listed for an 80 an says it's a parallel flow. All the available options on rock auto...

    Holley Sniper EFI fuel economy

I would recommend against a hyperspark especially if it's a sniper 1. They are not worth the trouble over a good hei imo. My truck actually got the same mileage with a 700r4/3.08 as it did with the th350/3.08. I put 3.73s in it an got better highway mileage. I think you need at least a 3.42 to...

    Holley Sniper EFI fuel economy

If he's running timing control through the sniper then he definitely needs a 2d table an a real timing map there too. If it's an HEI then hopefully he's got it on the correct port for manifold vacuum an the base timing set for his cam.

Help me understand.. Lowered bench seat bracket

They don't make any for 73-87 because with the hump in the floor for the fuel tanks the seat brackets are really just the sliders anyway. The only way you're going to get the seat lower is to move the tank and modify the floor.

    Holley Sniper EFI fuel economy

If you haven't done it you can adjust the afr settings to help some. Making it a 2d table helps most but you'll have to do that with the software. I can get mine to about 17.5-18 on the highway which isn't a ton better than the carb I had before. The benefits from these units are in other...

    12v Swap Fuel Sending Units

Ya since this one is an 86 I just put those same year ones back. I used the 3 outlet ones, there's a feed, return an a vent. Spectra premium FG05F and FG05G. The switching valves were the same part number between gas/diesel so I figured there shouldn't be an issue with anything the sender is...

    12v Swap Fuel Sending Units

Just went through this putting new units in an 86 with a 12v. The extra wire on the diesel one is for water in fuel sensor (that's the information I found anyhow). I thought about swapping them an wiring them up but I couldn't find the sensor anywhere so I went back with gas ones as they were...

I've had 2 flats/blowouts in my 28 yrs of driving both from humongous potholes I just wasnt able to avoid.
