    Overheating engine

Where can you find the good dark green stuff? The Wally world stuff, whether 50 50 mix or straight seems a lot more translucent. That "All Makes, All Models" bullchit. I want good old green, dammit!

    Beautiful Beast ! For sale

Wow - 4.56 gears and a 1:1 ratio in 4th. Ought to be a stump puller with a maybe 55 mph top end. Love the colors, though !

What have you done to your square lately??

Been thinking about my brakes and that maybe it is a hydraulic issue. So, I saw this and decided to try it today. Well, I figured with the key on my coworker helper would see the brake light come on in the dash. No go with the PS bleeder screw out. OK - let's try both. Nope. WTF? :33...

    Hood hinge question

Mine does that too on the passenger side, but not as pronounced. Maybe a good cleaning is in order - cant hurt.

    Finished broke out piece

Oh, BTW- I always preferred Pactra to Testors. Testors was so thin some colors took multiple coats. But the cats meow was Humbrol. They claimed that it dried with no brush strokes - they was right ! After I got a hobby air brush with a spare tire adapter as the air source- kick ass idea if you...

    Finished broke out piece

I am pretty impressed. Buying a bezel in theory would have been the easiest route but with your aftermarket gauges probably not. For using materials you had available and your plastic molding skills- Well played, Sir! :winner_first_h4h:

Hello, new to the site, gathering info on GMC sierra classic v1500 4x4

More experience with Dodge trucks than anything, so cant comment on the torsion bars. OTHER THAN the wifes 01 Ranger has them and I cant say I have noticed any steering issues. It has rack and pinion, though, and is not a unibody so maybe those 2 things have an impact. The interior of a...

Auto or manual locking hub ?

I have owned only 1 truck with auto hubs- my 91 Suburban. Never had any issues with them, but it did not get in 4 wheel drive very often. One big advantage is the ease of packing the wheel bearings. The whole auto lock assembly comes out in 1 piece. These damn spicers with the sliding...

Hello, new to the site, gathering info on GMC sierra classic v1500 4x4

Are you telling me you would not rock a 69 Charger, a 73 Challenger, or a 70s Dodge Ramcharger? I would. They aren't much different to work on than the Generals stuff. More electrical issues, though, I will give you that.

Gluing in the broke out piece

Yeah, I could see videos of glue tests as being entertaining. Destruction usually is, except for that red 3 quarter ton 4 by that was bought and destroyed... :flame:

Gluing in the broke out piece

Well, don't pull an American Pie & keep the Super Glue next to the lube on the counter while watching pron and all is good. :Big Laugh:

What have you done to your square lately??

I changed the filter a while back. This is a cheap attempt at a solution- somehow, someway, when it is wet outside the brakes have more boost. At least at first. So, I figured if maybe that check valve or grommet had a pinhole leak. Dunno. Almost seemed a little more boosted afterwards...

What have you done to your square lately??

Simple stuff - changed the brake booster check valve and grommet, lubed the front driveshaft, exercised the 4wd on the street, some simple green cleaning action and some fluid top offs.

    Cruise control wiring connection

Did the horn work before? If it did, then you know it had to be in the work you just did. If that is accurate, I would make sure that turn signal harness is all the way plugged in at the connection to the vehicle harness. If that is good, take the steering wheel center cap - the horn...

    making the broken out piece

@Raider L - I guess they popped the door lock - I cant tell a lot from these on the phone. He always arms it, so how they got around that I dont know. It's really shocking to me that they can steal a new one that fast, but they obviously knew enough to do it fast and came prepared. They...

    Cruise control wiring connection

White plastic plug at the bottom of the column, IIRC. Should be easy to ID since it only has 2 wires. Where did you find a non resume style switch? I would not mind having a spare.

    making the broken out piece

Copied from his text : They had to swap ECU's, they brought their own to swap because the RFID chip in the key is matched to the ECU. Couldn't ******* believe how easy it was . Pop the radio plate, pull four screws, pull the display back, cut and pull the wires out of the on-star module...

Since all this was brought on by your truck being messed up by thieves, let me show you how my buddies newer Chevy truck was done. I had to ask - that is an ECU on the battery tray. Thieves brought their own ...
