I like to think outside of the box....
What about a step/side bar that acts as the steps. Push a button OR release something and it swivels/swings out from the rear of truck (like the wings on an F15.....at the same horizontal angle of the door). Then you push another button OR release...
Old post but thought I'd share as I've got a 20 gallon unit. A guy did some testing of various stuff on yewtube and Cascade was 2nd best, but best bang for buck. 23:06 on the video for the comparison chart.
He's got dollar signs in the Qty/Fill column which threw me off for a few minutes...
Giggity! Could you put up a pic of the sun-visor lower bolt on the drivers side? Pretty sure mine was just slapped on and was all out of wack. Thinking about filling with a stud to just put a bolt/cap on top and be done with it.
32 gallon fits fine. If you've got both tanks and have the valves, etc, put a sender/pump in both tanks and switch from one to the other.
I did the 32 gallon tank swap, but if I had all the stock hardware for both, I would have done both tanks.
if you have time, take some citristrip and coat the top and then put saran wrap over it so air won't get to it. Then do again for each side. Let it sit for 24 hours and see how it cleans up. The trick is the paint remover won't dry so it will work continuously.
amazon. they'll fight each other when you install so hold tight (or flip around) until they hit metal. Lose hold of one it will probably break when it snaps to another from a distance.
Magnets
Can be done with time and patience (pdf link below). There's also a video of a young student that walks you through it with good images of key high points on youtube. Lots of kudo's to him as this helped me a lot.

Not sure if I shared this one or not. Cheap magnets for easy nut driver storage. I need to get some more magnets for the ball end allen drivers on the other side.
Also, those magnets put under the corner of your radiator support (above the headlights) helps hold tools and screws in place. I...
about 6 years ago I had mine regeared from 3.08 to 3.73 with Richmond gear Excel...only complaint I have is I didn't do 4.10. Very hilly interstate here in SE KY. I don't shift into OD until I'm doing 75 and if passing someone at 80 going uphill, I downshift to 3rd. 32" tire/4l60e/stock...
Is it a thread size you can match? My thought would be fill in the threads with JB weld, good superglue, etc and then re-thread it.
If it's something of value to you, try on something else that's plastic until you get the process down pat.
anyone know if that tach is stock? That's what I'm wanted for my K10.
I'll have to start digging again. I know LMC has the 7k rpm tach but it doesn't have the fuel gauge in it.
post #107 has the same tach in the below post:
7k tach w/fuel
Good luck finding an EP381 let alone for a decent price. I paid $62 for mine 7-8 yrs ago. Well over $100 now at only a few websites. If you've got a better source/price please post. I need to replace mine.
