no idea what brand it is, but going through now. It's been leaking on the passenger side kick panel. Rusted out where the floor meets it. Get it right is all I've got to say. New seal install coming soon.

    Write up: Gas Tank Relocation

been a while, but I know I had to bend the corner metal tabs on the tank and I believe I had to bend the brake line bracket. Channel locks or vise-grips. It was nothing massive though. Do what you gotta do.

    Dielectric Grease

if your connectors have good contact, dielectric grease will not affect conductivity by applying it to the connections. It's there to protect the exposed metal of the connectors so they don't deteriorate over time from moisture/dirt. It also provides insulation between connections. What is...

    Getting quotes for paint/body work

Summit has decent priced single stage paint. Find an old fender, or yours if it isn't on the road, pull one and teach yourself how to paint. For the $500 I paid (I expected cheap), I should have done it myself because of the runs and trash in it. But then again, at that price, for a hunting...

    Speaker pods/General stereo questions

    Resistance in parallel with only 2 resistors/loads = R1 X R2/R1 + R2. 16/8 =2, so yes 2 ohms.

Thanks may do that if I don't find my spare. Advanced, Autozone, nor Oreilys could get the EP381.

What have you done to your square lately??

changed the fuel filter this afternoon. I hate Russell quick disconnects lol. Tight spot, ended up removing the lines from them and doing it out of the vehicle. Install was easy as I did just the opposite, fittings on lines then install filter.

    Starting trouble after battery swap

@Tfg Colorado if it ran right before you changed the battery, check your cable connections at both ends. Make sure you don't have a loose "pigtail" wire connection coming off near the battery terminal.

What have you done to your square lately??

changed the oil last weekend and today added 7 oz gear oil to rear. With winter coming I gotta figure out the washer fluid tank leaking. It's a new dorman, but still leaks where the pump goes in the tank. Might just mount the pump to the fender and run a hose in thru the cap and JB weld the...

    Fuel pump for LS Swap

digging this one up as there's plenty of discussion about EP381. I'm going to be changing the fuel filter and like a knuckle head, I put it in a place that requires taking the bed off. While I'm there...and the issues I'm having, I might as well change the pump as well (tank relocation-burb...

    Preferred Solder for Automotive Wiring

great info for those that don't know. The hardest part for some when soldering is knowing what to look for. If you're soldering components to a board, look for solder flowing like water and let off. Soldering wires, keep moving your tip in an attempt to get the solder to flow every where and...

    Automatic door lock kit

if you get a cheap one, you might want to use the receiver to control relays to send power to your locks. I doubt it will handle the power. Do some research before you purchase. I'm guessing the cheap actuators draw less current than the old school GM actuators. Something to think about and...

    Truck died today when driving

100% agree, had one wire that had a butt connector on it and it lost connection over bumps. Check those first, takes 3 minutes. If you see a crimp connector at the terminal on the dizzy, close it up a bit with pliers to make the contact better. Took 2 experiences to learn that one. Only...
