    Stock Differential Covers

You could get a drill and tap and a 3/4 Iron plug at home depot and make your own. Just get a 3/4 NPT drill and tap kit. They are about 20 bucks as a kit.

Lares vs Cardone steering box reman not Saginaw?

I am not sure if it is a problem with 4wd units but I have seen 2wd trucks have a crack in the front crossmember so it might be worth checking. I saw a guy on youtube make his own version of the frame stiffener. if you have a grinder and a welder it's not difficult and probably 20 bucks in...

    Stock Differential Covers

I seem to recall most 10 bolt rear's don't for some reason. Usually the front does though. I can not speak to 12 bolts to be fair. I don't think a 14 bolt FF or SF has them either but I'm not gonna go look on the axle rack right now to see.

    Sheared bolts

They are usually popular in wheel installation. Not much use that. They just use size and length to limit the amount of torque before they start flexing.

    Front hub specialty socket

I think the tool costs 20 or so bucks at amazon. I assure you it costs a lot more to replace the locking nuts and washers, lol. Also the main reason not to use a punch is because it raises the edge of the nut and then when you torque it down to spec the load is not spread across the nut, but...

Also got you a pack of the red shop rags and roll or two of the blue shop towels. And do not use the punch like he is doing, especially if you have not done it before. Look online and find the torque specs for a dana 44 or gm 10 bolt and tighten it according to that if you are not familiar...

I also put a post in your other post about the socket.

    Front hub specialty socket

I''m assuming you are changing rotors? You It's got 4 prongs that stick out and engage in the 4 lock nuts so it's not a size so much, you just have to find some place that knows what it is and sells it. Amazon has it if you have time to wait - OEM tools part # 25072. I just checked stock at...

    Chevy 6.0 with 4l80e

Thanks and I didn't see anyone trying to crap on his ad but just help him realize why he may not get some results on his ad. The market is fluid and it always kind of self regulates but some guys need to be aware of why they are having a hard time unloading their directional changes. No names...

    Sheared bolts

Not trying to be combative but just saying, never be to proud to check with a torque wrench. Some things may actually cost a life. The smaller the fastener the larger the error is often times, maybe unless you are using torque sticks....

    Sheared bolts

I am not sure what all ideas were thrown out originally but if you don't have something broken off in the bolts you can use some left handed drill bits and just start small and size up until you get close enough to just skim the inside of the bolt. Once you get pretty close to the threads you...

    Sheared bolts

Everyone says that and then when you break out a good torque wrench you usually find out the opposite. I used to say the same thing until I lost 100 bucks on a bet. I had been wrenching on stuff for about 35 years at the time that happened.

    LS swap

I try to keep all the non square/LS related stuff off the buy sell page and since I moderate it I usually see all the engine for sale posts and I'll probably start a thread for guys looking for deals. Once in a while a super clean OBS or 72 and earlier truck will catch my eye and I'll throw...

Gas pedals are cheap fellas. These is gen 4 stuff here. I think this transmission can easily be adapted to a 4x4, but the 6l90's are not my area of expertise.

Lares vs Cardone steering box reman not Saginaw?

On my K5 I used the jeep cherokee XJ steering shaft so it took out all the coupler stuff. Not sure you can do that with a 2wd unit though but its far better overall in my opinion.

    LS swap

Sadly I have a full time job all week and most of it is spent at the airport or away from home but up in Oregon I suspect you probably have a plethora of low mileage rust bucket LS swap donor vehicles. There has been guides on buying a GM service fan and they usually have the best combination...

    LS swap

I'm still midstream. caught between 4 motorcycles (or maybe its 5) plus decided to repair some rust holes and swap in some axles and a lift kit with a new wiring harness before getting back into the ls Swap. Also I am in down in the Waco area now but the way I see it probably easier than...

Rebuilding if you have leaks is a good option to be fair. O'reillys has a kit for about 30 bucks. I literally just bought one about 3 weeks ago. Eventually I am going to move over to crossover steering on my Jimmy and am just going to pick up a clean looking 2wd unit for that and going to...

Right now LS motors are a buyers market, i hate to break the news to you. I bought a 60K unit from a recycler with ecu, trans, and all the parts that came with 90 day install warranty for 1700 bucks all in Fort Worth at the time and that was just because I did not have time and tools at that...
