    i have the aluminum case, passon performance in PA is a mopar trans specialist shop. and brewerperformance is where i bought bits and pieces for my trans. ie speedo gears and gaskets. finding a gm a833 is difficult. i have only seen 2 trucks with this trans in it and one of those is mine.

    np833a trans gear ratio is 3.09 first, 1.76 second, 1:1 third, and .73 OD fourth. very similar to the 700R4. the bell housing PN:14061655 used to be available from wheeler bros. inc.     patriot mid length headers are the ticket. your exhaust can be tucked even with the frame rails. just my thoughts.

    i run patriot mid length headers for a 70 chevelle in my 84 c10 with a np833 4speed. they fit fine. it lets you keep the exhaust system next to the frame rails. comes in handy on a lowered truck.

    mine is an 84 with np833. came with a 305 and 3:73 gears. now it has a 1972 402 in it. i made my own shift knob for the shifter.

    top one is your oil pressure sending unit, the lower one is an oil pressure sensor that will shut your ignition off if your oil pressure drops below a certain pressure. if you don't hook it up, or put a jumper in the plug, your stock ignition will not have power.
