1980 something pontiac gran/d prix. ran over a muffler on the highway and split the gas tank wide open. bought 2 round bottomed 5 gallon 'jerry cans'. i'm not sure i'm understanding what you're trying to accomplish. (that's my fault not yours). the p-valve is a path of least resistance kind of thing. so if the valve is shutting off the back brakes, i 'caused' the fluid to 'flow rapidly' out the opposite side of the valve (front brakes) which... -

Where is the radio antenna routed on an 88 suburban
in the early 70s, we would drive from blue springs (suburb kinda near kansas city) to herman missouri. (visiting grandparents) we would listen to kcmo the whole way on am radio. it is still out there obviously but with more man made noise and less am optimized receivers, it's not as easy any...- WebMonkey

if you really want AM, it's going to come down to your radio. factory radios, up to a certain point, had ferrite bar antennas INSIDE the radio and that was what was used for AM. FM reception used the exterior antenna. why? well, the difference in wavelength between the 2 broadcast frequency...- WebMonkey

not-shiny bumper bolts?
when we say 'caps' do we mean a separate part that snaps on the bolt or just calling the rounded end of the bolt, the 'cap' ? -

Need help with Parking Brake cable routing on my 84 K20
my 85 k20 has 13" drums and the parking brake cables are not of equal length. the passenger side is much longer as it passes over to the driver's side makes a turn with the driver's side cable then connects to the 'coupler' that attaches to the pedal cable.- WebMonkey

Fender Antenna
for simply receiving broadcast fm radio, you could use almost anything. you could even 'hide' each leg of the antenna under the dash material or along the visor area. the back window, etc etc. if you live 'in the city' or near one, you'd never notice the difference. homebrew antenna would be... -
SM465 Backup Lights
i had to replace the switch on my sm465 to get my reverse lights to activate. so yes, there is a switch on the sm465 you can 'wire up' to replace/retrofit the switch an automatic used. good luck- WebMonkey

!! those are the 'replacements'. i didn't have any to begin with though. i checked the number and they weren't listed in the NEW recall but yeah, i'll be watchin' those. :) -

these are in the 'webmonkey's k20' thread' the parking brake cable effects the self adjuster. i watched the lever/levers/shoes when a 'helper' depressed the parking brake pedal. I am certainly NOT a mechanic, so i could be wrong. newer disc/drum setups used the parking brake. drum only setups... -

i guess the 13" drums have different hardware? the parking brake lever in the drum assembly mechanically effects the adjuster assembly. -

my k20 self adjusters work with the parking brake. (each time i set the parking brake, the self adjusters will advance IF there is any advance waiting to be sprung) they do not advance on a brake while reversing. i would definitely jack up the tire. advance the adjuster with a screwdriver...
