    want to paint my 84 Sierra in Air Force blue. I have an old Force 4 LP 6000 light bar with amber lenses that would go on the roof as well. I served in the Air Force in the mid 80's so love these trucks when they served too.

    I pulled the whole unit out, pried the contacts up and put in an old bulb and it seems to have fixed the issue. The new bulb would keep making contact. Thanks to all of your help and suggestions

    I reinstalled my cab length running boards. Just have to cut some square tubing for reinforcement. I have a beat up pair of long boards that I'm going to attempt to make a small set from the front of the bed to the rear wheels.

    Possible. I did a fluid and filter change this past Tuesday and it's shifting smooth as glas. It's almost like the throttle is sticking as it does it when I drive slow before I get up some speed. I've Kroiled the linkage and the cable. Truck did sit for over a year so carb may be gummed up

    I found out the shifter rod is bent so it's hitting the frame, probably from the moron that sold me the bad engine initially so need to fix that as it wont go into the other gears easily. The trans is the original TH400

    Th Eres something wrong with the shifter rod as it's hitting the frame so it wont go into the lower gears, so need to fix that. Original TH400 in the truck. I'm having carb issues so having it looked at on Saturday the 3rd, and get it back up to speed, so to speak.

    My 84 Sierra 2500 has been acting weird just lately. I never thought about the trans modulator line. Mine has started running about 1500 - 2000 rpm's while driving down the street and I have to "punch" the gas pedal to get it to slow down. Also, no "umph" if I need to pass. Is this a timing issue?
