    hood alignment

    My 84 Sierra 2500 is doing the same thing. I replaced the original hood with an OEM one and still can't get the back to go down. I even tried raising the cowl panel and that didn't work.

    I work for a railroad so scrap metal is all over the place so I cut some belt material and made support straps for the top(1/8") and mounted them using the existing bolts inthe wheel well. Not overly happy with them but they work until I get some real mudflaps.

    Great article. I did the same on my old 73 Dodge D200. Bought a 40 gallon plastic van tank and installed it in the rear. Went to a local salvage yard and cut the fuel door and surrounding metal out of a 79 F150, had it welded in. Looked factory once the bodywork was done.

    Back window sunshade

    Just thought I'd post this for anyone interested. I came up with another use for a sunshade. I screwed 3 binder clips to the inside of the cab, and clip my windshield sunshade into them to keep the sun out. Works pretty good. I tuck the shade behind the seat.

    Thought I’d break away from the norm with my gauge bezel. I had some Krylon Fusion matte blue left from other projects so sprayed my bezel then outlined the gauge openings. Came out pretty good.     No Defrost

    Probably not but will check. know the line that goes in the firewall on the right side keeps coming apart. It was broken so I tried a piece of 1/4" tubing over it to connect the 2 pieces. I'll try to get a pic. Not sure if it'd the line for the defrost or what.

    I have a 3/4 ton 84 Sierra and was wondering if there is a way to get tighter turning on it? I know these long beds don't turn on a dime, but I'd like to be able to get into straight in parking spots easier than a 3 point turn. Is there a way of doing this?
