    I bought all Pioneer 3-ways from Crutchfield, all mounted in the stock locations. Order the new, aftermarket, 6x9 cab corner mounts and rock it. You can always add a remote 10" subwoofer under your stock bench-seat later if you need more base.

    I KNOW you must add a large, external, transmission cooler to that 700R4. I would also add the bigger bottle of Lucas Transmission Conditioner at that time too. Finally, you will be better equipped to tow with a 3.42 rear axle ratio IMHO.

    Yes. But that design was only used early on. 1981-82 models. I bet your truck's tailgate had been swapped at some point in life with an early model....

    Actually, the 1989-91 Blazer, Jimmy, Suburban, and crewcab trucks had a solid aluminum wheel well opening molding without a ridge in the middle. :waytogo:

    Sounds like a bent or binding metal rod in the locking system?? Like in the old days people "slim jimmed" their trucks when the keys were locked inside. Maybe someone hung the tool up on a lock rod and bent it???

    Left and right end speaker plugs have an angled connector though. I can't tell in your photo if that hardshell connector is straight or bent at an angle.

    There is a sender for "idiot lights" and a different sender for an actual OEM PSI reading gauge too.
