removed one trunk drop off, revealed some crappy work in the back which I kind of knew about anyways. I really think the full rear tail panel is gonna need to be replaced to make it right and add strength.- Swims350

the 80's lol that's why fender flares on all 4 corners and running some deep dish cragars in back to attemmpt to fill them out. They should have done 12's in back with that much flare. Clean c3's for sure.- Swims350

after messing with this one 1/4 I wished it flipped to both sides. I may end up doing one side then trying to lay it down and flip the jig around if possible, and flip the other side.- Swims350

is that a round headlight like 75/76 or the cat eye 77/78? I'd like to get a cat eye nose to use. Looks about as rusty as mine LOL. hat you were looking at was a rotted away outer lip on the outer wheel house and the back side of the rocker not sure if it had a layer of steel on the end of it as well or if it was open and only the wheel well covered it? understood, alot of work for a dent. I would have got the $100 HF stud welder dent puller -
Primer wont dry
if you use the primer at work ad it dries and it's not at home seems weird. I always heard all those take awhile to dry, and I know humidity plays a big role in it. Maybe it's possible was just a bad batch?- Swims350

I gotta ask why skin a bed side and not just unbolt and bolt on another? Or really why are you removing the skin? I assumed rust or dents or replacement -
Primer wont dry
all the guys at the local body shop supply here say that if it's not a 2 part setup it will never dry. might be time to bust out some rags and thinner or something and just wipe it all off. That kind of primer sounds like those paints at lowes home depot tractor supply etc. Those can take...- Swims350

well first off what kind? is it spray can or out of a gun? epoxy, self etch, filler primer, 2k? lots of options and brands. My first thought is not enough hardner/activator, but not knowing what type that may not be the answer. Also the weather, is it really humid? rain? hot? cold? what temp...- Swims350

you can swap bed floors if you can find one. They repop them now if you got the cash -
engine dress up
the cheap chrome stuff will rust unless you are out there wacing it once a week or so no joke, been there done that. I even tried chromed alum. that ended up corroding under the chrome and peeling, and that was an air cleaner. Aluminum, or painted parts is the way to go IMO. I love chrome but...- Swims350

Them bedsides would go great on my old man's truck but by no means hang onto them, if you can sell them then do so. I'd love to get them and fix th eold man's 84, gonna need to find a bed floor or build my own for it too, just too much rust here Dad's bedsides both sides have terrible arches... -

^^^ that would be pretty awesome. what exactly is missing from them? the lower rear piece that they repop for a patch? I see a driver's side bedside with the square filler. Am I missing something or? wouldn't mind seeing more close up as to what it bad on them or gone etc. They look solid to me... -
