    Used Dash Pads- Any value?

I used black roll on bed liner to dress up the pad on my '83. It's a driver and looks much better now. It all depends on the level of the build. I couldn't justify $500 for a new pad.

Bench seat to bucket seat and center console conversion

Any seat will fit any vehicle with enough fabrication. It depends on your fabrication skills. I prefer the Lexus 330/350 seats but it's not a bolt in

    Need a hood measurement please.

My blazer just came back from restoration. So many parts and gaps needed correction during the process.Present body lines are now better than original. Do not expect to get perfect body lines without professional bodywork tactics and methods. It all depends on the level of your build.

New Square Jimmy owner, starts with the floors

You're going to spend a lot of money and brainpower on something that needs to be up to original GM specs only. IMHO.

    87' 350 SBC Rebuild

I'm confused as to why you would want to put electric fans on a mostly stock build. A good radiator and fan clutch setup should be perfectly fine.

My go to combo is long tube headers, 21/2"flowmaster 50 series mufflers, and 21/2" pipes exiting behind the wheels. No drone and a nice rumble.

    Hello & Seeking Restoration Info

Not only does a restoration take a long time depending on the shop, their backlog could easily be a year or more. My wait was 14 months.

I use 15-40 rotella per my engine builders recommendation. I also add 6oz of zink additive for all flat tappet engines.

Need advice on what to do.

Maybe there is a HS or college auto shop class in your area that would take on your repair. That is not big damage and relatively routine to repair for a veteran body guy. In my experience, if you have damage (rust) in the places shown, there is more to be found where you may not have looked.

1988 Crew Cab 454 TBI Knock

Mighty good advice in my opinion. You will have to determine where your budget and talent limits are and go from there.
