I installed the Borgeson 800133 box last summer, along with a Borgeson steering shaft with U-Joints. Very happy with them, tracks straight and very little wandering. -

Beautiful day for a drive! Temps in the 70s, blue sky. The wife and I hopped in the Blazer and went for a drive, ended up getting some groceries and dog food. Tomorrow it’s supposed to snow, with a high in the 30s, lol. -
Reverse rotation water pump
This is what I’m about to order, only in black. I’ll reuse my existing alternator (new Summit 140 amp) and power steering pump, just replacing the pulleys and alternator fan with those supplied with the kit. I’ll get a new reverse rotation water pump and heater hose connectors from Oreilly...- WFarm

Power Steering pump pulley type
Can somebody confirm the type of ps pump pulley this is? I assume it’s a Saginaw press fit, but would like to confirm. The end of the shaft has an internal hex, then there are threads past the hex.- WFarm

Reverse rotation water pump
Looking at the standard and reverse rotation water pumps for the 454 for some reason the reverse rotation pumps do not have the bolt hole for the power steering pump bracket. Apparently a different bracket is used. Don’t know if said bracket is compatible with the MKIV engine. Current standard...- WFarm

Yep. What I have in mind is a single belt system with tensioner. Just wanting to see if changing to a reverse rotation water pump has any unforeseen issues.- WFarm

Brain farts…l wasn’t going to confess to this but what the heck. When I had finished with the recent AC delete work and found the fuse issue and got the fan working, I went to cycle between Economy, Bi-Level and Defrost to check that all worked. Nothing worked. I started thinking about... -

Yep. Now when you open the hood you say “Wow, nice engine”. Before it was “Oh, air conditioning” :D I wonder if it really makes sense to keep all the hardware or just scrap it. Would anyone really want to try to reinstall it and hope it worked versus just getting a Vintage Air system? -

It was the fuse. I checked that before starting a bunch of troubleshooting and it looked intact but had some brown stuff inside. I went to pull it and the fan started up! Tapped it again and fan stopped. Of course I don’t have a spare fuse so temporarily jumped it out and everything works as... -

I printed out the schematic and will head down to troubleshoot. Most likely something I did (or didn’t do) when removing the AC components. Looking at the schematic I know there is a ground for the compressor that is not grounded now. Have no idea if this is related but I’ll hook that up and see... -

Yes, all speeds do not work. That points to the relay I think? Or the dash switch itself but that is less than a year old and was working recently. -

Finished up with installing the heater box and AC delete cover. A lot more room under the hood! Looks pretty good IMO but will look at alternate locations for the vacuum canister and clean up the wiring a bit. Also made up some hard lines for the transmission cooler to get rid of the rubber... -

Installed the new heater core in the heater box and oiled all the linkages. Then used the box to verify bolt hole alignments and test fitted it on the bench. As @Rustisbest said, the little “drill here” dimples were perfectly located. Drilled out the rest of the holes in the cover and mounted... -
Heater core
New core arrived today from Summit and is pretty much identical to the one old Harrison core. Very pleased. GMSB Rocks.- WFarm

Heater core
I ordered the brass Summit core, but based on comments here about the aluminum cores not being a good fit I took my old core to O’Reilly’s to compare to their aluminum Murray brand. Not a good fit! My old core is stamped Harrison, so for all I know it may be the original. It was a perfect fit...- WFarm
