Have h Great gaskets. Every day I look at the floor under my two trucks and every day the floor is dry. Plus you can reuse them if you need to drop the pan for something. -

@BRetty I bought the shaft from The Steering Store from their eBay store. It does replace the rag joint with a universal joint. It is the Borgeson 000932 which says its for 73-76 Chevy or GMC trucks. -

Can somebody tell me what this part is? It’s bolted to the inner fender on the passenger side on my 75 Blazer, which was originally a 350 engine. I looked thru the factory service manuals for the heating system but just don’t see it!- WFarm

Bent some steel tubing and replaced rubber hoses at new fuel pump with steel lines that run from pump to tank and engine lines. Turned out nice. -
Radiator shroud removal

Radiator shroud removal
I am planning on replacing my cracked shroud but question how to remove the existing one. Most threads on this subject talk about split shrouds that are stapled or bolted together. Mine is one big piece. Do I really need to work inside the shroud to remove the fan and pulley to get this off...- WFarm

I re-mounted my pump this morning. Now it’s right at the bottom of the tank, but not sticking down below it. The new bracket has an offset in it to move the pump back away from the differential. Lowered it down to verify I had plenty of clearance before tightening everything up. Almost looks... -

@PrairieDrifter Had two reasons for the switch. First was vapor lock problems. Even with the carb insulated with a phenolic spacer and the fuel line between the mechanical pump and carb insulated I still had problems. Then the fuel pump just quit, second one in a month. The failed pump was too... -

The rear seat arm rests on my 75 Blazer are dingy and cracked and I’m looking for replacements. See lots of new arm rests for 69-72 Blazers that look similar. Will these work for my 75? -

@idahovette I got that heat shield from Jegs. I put one on my 57 BelAir and it worked good so did the Blazer too after a couple of unscheduled 30 minute breaks due to vapor lock. -

Got the proper fittings and insulation and made an all-metal fuel line (mechanical pump to carb) out of 90/10 CuNi 3/8” tubing for the 454 Blazer. Filled the line with salt for all the bending, which helps prevent kinks and flat spots. Cut to length, flared the ends, insulated it and installed... -

Finished my vapor lock and starter heat soak fixes for the 454 Blazer. Insulated sections of the fuel line under the hood, wrapped a section of the RH exhaust pipe that ran close to the fuel lines and added a heat shield and 1/2” thick phenolic spacer under the carb. The starter worked great... -

Discovered I had been saying it wrong: “We-And” instead of “Why-And. Shame on me. Weiand must have gotten real tired of people mispronouncing their name to actually cast the correct way into their manifolds. :D -

Installed a carb heat shield today and noticed some info cast into the intake manifold. “Say Why-And” and a part number, WCPSQ. Thought the pronunciation tutorial cast into the manifold was funny, and afterwords tried to look up info on the manifold by the Weiand part number. No hits, nothing... -
