    I rebuilt mine without any issues... I also made sure I read the directions, a few websites, and found a few youtube videos to watch many times before I attempted it though. It's something I would take my time with and make sure it's all operating correctly before I took it out on the road.

    The vacuum port off the back of the carb/throttle body is for the Vacuum Booster for the brakes. Hard to see what your pointing to, but if it's a thingamagig coming off the intake manifold behind the carb/throttle body, then it's a vacuum manifold for various things that need a manifold...

    If you don't have a cargo light, I'd say that was probably the original dome light harness. It would've been part of the circuit that also lit up the bulbs under the dash.

    When I put the Hydroboost in my '73 I had to buy a bushing for the brake pedal pin. The only thing is that it pushed the pedal out about a 1/4" or so, but it works great.

    You can comfortable fit up to about a 32" diameter tire with the stock suspension. I've seen a 33" tire stuffed in there before, but it was looking a bit cramped. I've got 31x10.50s on my 15x8 Rallies, but next time I wouldn't hesitate to go to the 32's...

    I've dropped the tanks before by just leaving the straps in place and taking out the bolts for the brackets. If you're re-installing the same tank it also makes it easier to put it back in as you don't have to realign the straps on the tank.

    They're expensive when bought new from what I could find... I think LMC carries them, but I have a couple laying around I've pulled from junkyard trucks. I'd test the one you have before replacing it.
