Its a r4, it's been converted to 134, said that alrety, no clue what oil was used. Yes im inexperienced, I call the drier and accumulator, had never heard it called that before. Alrety have alot of the stuff needed to charge and vacume it.

    Quick questions on charging system.

Your net charge should be 3.2 lbs (~51 oz) of R134a (or about 4.25 12-oz cans), plus 10 oz of refrigerant oil (6 oz poured directly into the compressor suction port, the balance poured directly into the accumulator).

    Quick questions on charging system.

I am finally getting around to charging the ac on my 79 c10. I put the 79 ac to the 84 cab and all that, it blows. I just need to wire the compressor back up. But I need to ask, how much to put in? Do I need any oil? I was going to dump out and replace the oil in the compressor. Its a thin one...

    Heat only to ac

Funnily enough. I've thought about that. I happen to have 2 of thoes we use for construction. Since I made the post tho ive decided imma just adapt my 79 ac to the 84. Firewall is alrety screwed, went and testfitted and it fits.

    Heat only to ac

Well in my long search for ac in my 1979 c10 with a 84 cab. I have always had diffent firewall holes. Drastically different. I've budgeted and found vintage air is too expensive for what ive got going for me right now. So in the last hour I made alot of progress into finding 1984 ac parts...

    Brakes still dont work.

Well if you haven't figured it out I'm a little stupid. Also thw awnser to my question is yes I should put the supposedly "broken" one in. Because it's not broken and works better than the other one. Who would've guessed....Not me.

    Brakes still dont work.

So should I try 1 last time with that new mc. Or should I exchange it for a new one. The brakes still suck but it is just barely good enough to drive. And I mean barely.

    Cs130 altenator not working.. maybe?

Alr so trying to out my solution in simplest terms. The activator wire from my painless harness kit was not supplying any sort of power(to the L port of the altenator) when the key was on. So in order to make a quick remedy to it i hooked the wire for the altenator (with resistor and...

    Brakes still dont work.

Okay cool I'll just keep some fluid on me while I drive. It leaks out the back a bit but I do have it overfilled.

    Brakes still dont work.

Odd question... brakes are ... sub optimal. But good enough to drive while being carefull. But the rubber seal on my master is on backwards. It actually seems to be the wrong one. I can't seem to find the correct one however. Could this be part of my issue? (I've got a replacement mc coming in...

    Cs130 altenator not working.. maybe?

Puting a wire between the switched power one (just before the resistor) and the battery made it work. Now It seems my white wire switch isn't working?
