Looking At Buying 1997 Cheyenne C1500 As Daily Driver Feedback Please
The '97's had the Vortec, so they have decent power. It will not compare in fuel mileage to the CRV but will do more from a working standpoint. Myself, I'd take a Chevy truck over anything foreign anyhow, but I'm all for the home team!- mtbadbob

My '87 also had the pump removed, and there is a two-wire sealing plug laying on that side of my engine. The pumps do have an electrical connection to them. I can't recall exactly what colors they are though.- mtbadbob

Show me your 8 lug wheels!
Sidewall strength & height are more critical. I've had taller tires that feel like I was riding on cat sh*t when I had a load on because of sidewall flex. Physics take over if they get too tall!- mtbadbob

84 c10 won't idle
You could have a dirty or bad needle & seat, causing the float to be too high & flooding the engine. You're probably washing cylinders if it's rich, better get that float set properly!- mtbadbob

What have you done to your square lately??
I seriously don't know how a person could miss a filter gasket still on the block. I always wipe the block clean before I screw on a new filter. Stevie Wonder wouldn't even do that... -

Vent Window Question
I have a brand-new set of 1 piece seals, I opened the drivers side before I realized that I had the 2 piece versions! Lmk if you want them -
Routing of blower switch wiring to firewall grommet?
Yes, they should be over the top. There are factory wire retainers up under the dash that should retain them and keep them supported. -

87 v-1500 wheels
What year of Burb are you thinking of? I put the '99-2010 GM Alloys on my V20 & they fit fine, just a little snug around the rear hubs but no spacers were needed of any sort.- mtbadbob

Thanks for the info! I thought I had read something about that, but I wasn't 100% sure. I just knew that 77 & up didn't have the engine displacement in them anymore. -

My buddy has a '73-'74 grille with a few small cracks, and the bowtie foil is delaminated on one end. Looks like mounting tabs are intact & in good condition. See pics for details. $300 OBO delivered & insured from Montana. -
3 inch rake after tuff country 4 inch lift.
It looks to me like something is amiss in the right rear, it's too high causing the inconsistent measurements on the other corners. Everything seated right over there???- mtbadbob

Parking Brake Light Not Coming On
12v stab tester to parking brake switch, should be 2 wires. Once switch is depress, it should open the circuit to send 12v power to light on dash. Test both wires in both the released position, and set position.- mtbadbob
