    Power Tour 2026

    The bad news: My friend that I normally make Power Tour stops is working straight through until he retires in 2026, so I probably won't be doing any of the tour in 2026. The good news: He'll be retired in 2027, so we'll probably be doing most of the stops from then on!

    By my tire size calculation spread sheet. 235/80/17 with 4.10:1 rear and 1:1 final drive would result in 2600 RPM @ 60MPH. Let me know what your proposed tire size is (if other than that) and I'll run those numbers as well.

    Bought a new Primary vehicle for my wife and I. 2026 Durango GT Plus 4X4 5.7L Hemi. Since I don't drive my Camaro or Blazer in the Winter, I'll be driving this when my wife doesn't need it this Winter.

    Haven't checked up on this thread in a while. You're making good progress on the Z28. Kinda makes me miss the '80 Camaro that I drove for five years back in the late '80s.

    Not sure of the weight. I can tell you that I once removed my full-convertible top with just me a my (at that time teenaged) son. they're damed heavy, but not riduculously so.

    I sent my driveshafts to Fort Wayne Clutch & Driveline to have them lengthened. They told what measurements to take and used that to figure the proper length.

    76 Orange paint code

    Crimson Red fades to an orangish color. My Blazer is Crimson Red. When people ask me if I own the "orange Blazer", I respond, "No". See the image to the left.

    Transfer case drop

    I have 4" lift springs on my K5. I removed the Sway Bar when I installed Cross-over Steering. Drives and handles fine. I did have both my Drive Shafts lengthened so they ride in the slip yokes correctly.

    6 x 9 speaker mounting in door

    I mounted 6x9s in the doors of my '79 C10 above the arm rests using 2" spacers. Looked like hell, but sounded great.

    I can't quite remember what brand. It was one of the more popular turbo-flow mufflers. I just bought it at Autozone and clamped it on.

    I had a Y-pipe and single muffler on my '79 C10 with no tailpipe. Exhaust ended about a foot passed the cab. Sounded great. I used to get a lot of compliments on the sound.

    Not sure about the access question, but I do have the Red Plastic gear out of my old NP203. It's yours if you want it. PM me.

    2 stick transfer case

    I had J&B make a custom Twin Stick Cable Shift set-up for the NP203 in my K5. Had to modify the bracket they supplied, modify the floor pan slightly and build a block to lift the shifter above the Trans to make it all play well together. It works great. Much more positive Transfer Case shifting.

    Nice! Congrats. My middle son wanted my beater '79 C10 when he got his license. I ended up giving it to him. Served him well for many years until the engine finally died.
