    Southern Illinois Truck Showdown - Marion, IL 8/31/24

    Wifey and I went in 2022 & 2023( year 1 & 2). Good variety of makes and models, but certainly GM heavy. In '23 we went to the Friday evening open house at Level7. I might go on Saturday if I get time. We're heading out for a week in Miramar Beach, FL on Sunday.

    Found a mystery rod in my motor

    Should have a little nylon clip on the bottom "tongue" in your pic that keeps it from pulling out when you pull the distributor. It has a ring on the inside that clips into the groove on the shaft and the oil pump.

    That video was the first time I saw those wheels. His are actually 18"x 9"-12mm offset w/285/60-18 tires. Perfect wheel/tire ratio to me.

I'm not sure how they would make the routes interesting through the locations they're hitting. Personally I enjoy the driving/travelling with fellow participants more than the static experience...
