    My K5 had those when I bought it in 1991. Originally it had a factory fiberglass roof rack that I took off. It had always been in the SF Bay Area. Those hooks were everywhere.

    I worked for a city that had square bodies in the fleet. I recall those base model trucks did not have a lock strip front or rear, because it was different than the Square bodies I had at the time. I'm sure it's much easier using the lock strip style than not. It wasn't too hard installing...

    Base trucks did not have the grove. I know when I installed the new rear glass on my '79 I used the base style gasket as I was switching to black trim in the front and didn't see a reason to spend the extra money on the two piece rear.

    Before you do any trimming on the coils, be sure they are in the spring pocket correctly. If it is not seated it can cause the height issue.

    I've never had a chassis cab to compare, but I have had a 3+3 Dually. But from everything I've read, the answer to your statement is probably yes. @AuroraGirl my K30 had those factory tips on it when I bought it in 2016. It even had the OEM mufflers. Isn't that California rust just terrible...;)

    The lettering will be upside down. LMC is the only one I know of that has new convex mirrors. FYI the van mirrors and the P/U have a different mirror arms. You can see here the van has a curve. The one you have pictured is for a P/U.

    Another backspacing / offset question

    When I had my '80 3+3 painted in 1995 it took 2 gallons of paint, plus everything else to go with it. That included the full interior and truck box.

    I had to replace the motor in mine and what a difference. The pass is as slow as molasses. I'm sure I'll have to replace that motor too. I'm interested to see once I put new weather striping in the windows if they slow down.

    Popping when turning left in a 1973 chevy k10

    Is every thing greased? I had a similar issue with mine after my power steering box started leaking. It was draining into the drag link and thinning the grease causing a popping noise when I turned lock to lock. Fresh grease cured the problem in my case.
