Engine hoist leak - identify seal type

Yeah, thank You very much. Used to be a guy here in town that repaired jacks, he retired and now there is no place to get components.

    Motor ground gets hot

You must be careful when using the Lucas brand, depending on if it is made for the UK wiring or the US wiring, the UK smoke will place the smoke on the wrong side of the wire and cause the blinkers to unblink unless UK blinker fluid is added.

    Motor ground gets hot

Is the battery ground hooked to the frame or is it hooked to the engine ? I always hook the ground to the engine then, take another grounding wire of the same size and run it to the frame, then, take another wire of the same size and hook it to the body from the frame ground. That way everybody...

Partial VIN frame - can anyone read this

Take a piece of 400 grit sand paper, staple it to a stubby 2X4 block of wood and try sanding the high spots, that should make the numbers pop right out atchyuh. :Caffeine:

    6.2 diesel hp

The Cummins would take a LOT of chopping and hacking to get enough room for that tall long block. Not so much with the 6.2.

    6.2 diesel hp

You wont achieve high numbers from a 6.2, its just not in the web design of the blocks main bearing areas and the cranking shafts to be able to do that. There is a lot of things You can do to achieve a higher number of horses though, like, a block web girdle to help hold things together and then...

    2001 YZ 250

Yeeeeouch. I hope You can get it all sorted out and back together. I have used that Hobart aluminum stick welding rod and the OXY/ACETelyne torch to repair aluminum components, it will also work with a butane torch to, like the bernzomatic. There too is other aluminum stick on the market that...

    Lotos MIG 140 Welder

I`m wondering if that welder unit was built by Hobart ? Looks mighty similar to the 110V Hobart 135 that I have in the garage. Having the capability to weld aluminum without having to fire up the torch would be a nice option.

    750

DOT over here had a tire balancing rig that`d spin the tire up to probably about 50 or 60 MPH, not sure but it was pretty fast. A mark was made on the tire before spinning and there was a timing light affair with a sensor on it that hooked to the axle, tire was spun, then take note of the...

    I ruined the yellow truck.

Good that You did not have to replace the cam shaft and got it running without a lot of grief. If the 250 is anything like the 292, the cam gear is pressed onto the shaft and requires a press to install a new gear or, remove/install the old gear.

Yeah, this CC system looks to be ancient. It has two magnets that's suppose to hook to the drive shaft. I took a peek at it and see one of the maggots, I mean magnets is missing. I dont know if just any magnet would work. Unit is probably not worth the freight to get it mailed.

I have a box over here that has a DANA universal cruise control unit in it. I know nothing about it other than it does have the instruction book. Before You plug that wire in and blow the whole truck to smithereens, You send the truck over to Me with the signed and notarized title and I`ll keep You out of harms way when I plug in the wire. Heck fire man, I`ll even drive over with the truck and a trailer and haul it all the way back here...

Bio requires a heater to keep it flowing, I think even in moderate temps. Do the study then decide. Used motor oil can also be filtered down and be burned in a mix of diesel. Let it settle out for about two weeks to a month then filter it through four filters and mix it with the diesel. I always...
