Just bought new wheels from speedway- Blems. for $68 each. 15x8 rally wheels, silver. Bargain! Free shipping. They said they were mounted and dismounted. So I bought $800 worth of tires to mount on them. So much for bargain. Should help this winter. Pictures next week after all the swapping... -

Dang! Turn signals stopped the flashy thing. Dash indicator, both sides comes on with no flash. Emergency flashers working fine. . Reached under the dash, swapped the two flashers, and the problem moved to the E Flashers. Ahah. Fixed and order one more (at least) flasher. Note; I do have rear... -

If you look at the Ash tray back view, you can see that the wires are halfway up the dashboard. Perhaps if you remove all your instruments, those wires should be just below and visible. I know, you don't want to remove the instruments. I don't blame you. But Mickey has been there. you may find...- justhorns

So, I looked. I'm pressing on the brake pedal, and you can see the Brake light switch unloaded (brakes on), but the wire goes into the harness and ?? Ida know. So, the 81 factory shop manual shows the Stop LP switch connector goes up into a harness, that runs under the dash and into the main...- justhorns

Knocked down some rust spots on doors and painted with rust killer and the white paint. Ran out of paint, but, its protected for now. More paint on the way. -

Cheap chit parts….
There was a time when cars had porcelain badges on their hoods. Fired in Kilns, polished, some hand painted. The manufacturer was proud of their product. Now the plastic junk that replaced it isn't even good for a year indoors... Mechanical parts coming from our auto parts stores are not much...- justhorns

Three new tools. The greaser thing works nice if you can get straight to the fitting, but if you need a right angle, forget it. Missed two fittings on car because if this. Its too big. The borescope from amazoon was cheap, like $60 (Not sure), but its got like 10 feet of cable. What the hall... -
Do I need different gears with 33” tires and 4” lift
You should remember, bigger heavier tires weigh more, and take more power to spin up. yes, you need lower gears, but just weigh the tires and wheels. I bet you add 50 lbs at each corner. The diameter of the bigger tire is directly affecting gearing, but weight is the enemy to acceleration. I had...- justhorns

Oh, and the usual funny. Guy who built the car put the new edelbrock carburetor on the engine and slammed the hood. Air cleaner retaining bolt went into the hood, so to fix it... add a hood scoop!- justhorns

Here in Colorado, we don't get much rain, but yesterday we had a steady rain from hilary and harold storms... I drove with my wipers on and they worked great. Put alot of time into the wipers and not sure of how long they would work before another failure. They were on steady for about an hour... -
One piece window conversion??
I have no A/c and love my vent windows. The drivers side whistled, and I got a (about) $10 kit from LMC for a new handle assy, and they are now quiet, and cool. Gonna be 94 here today, think I might test em out..- justhorns

Right blinker acting weird
It was a bad ground on one front turn signal on my truck. Fixed sound and fixed the issue. My problem was exactly the same as yours.- justhorns

I recently had knee replacement, and they gave me one of those old person reach grabber things and its great for getting those damn tools that do roll out of reach. Its now a permanent part of the garage tools and up there on top! I'll post a photo later in the new tools thread. -

I worked at Napa for a few years. Yes, the kids I was working with had no clue about working on cars. But, I still use NAPA for some of my parts because they have them HERE. They do stupid things like decreasing stock of older car parts (which I don't like). They now say the parts are in stock...- justhorns

What have you done to your square lately??
Here is the resistance of my 250-6's ignition wires, new and old (on right). I used my milwaukee meter, which is pretty accurate. As you can see, the longer wires have higher values than the short ones. I think this tells me my old wires (each being ac Delco) were OK. -
What new tools have you got lately?
Home depot having close out of Klein Tools. So I went to see if I needed anything. Found a 5 bit mini ratchet and a REALLY nice 14 in 1 screwdriver, that extends, you can hit with a hammer to drive things, 13 bits and a removable shaft that adjusts SOLIDLY to three positions. 1/3 rd off, so $15... -

New ignition module and wires. More to come later. I ran resistance of all the ignition wires new and old to see if any were bad, and see if you can see how long the wire is by its resistance. None of my old wires were bad. will post numbers on resistance shortly. Wires are standard Delco. -

Jegs Wiring harness versus Painless Wiring Harness
I've rewired 10-20 cars and the only harness I will use is american auto wire. The quality of the wire and the fuse box is just better. They do expect you know how to wire a car and how 12V works.- justhorns
