    Digital dashes

Dakota has some great looking instruments for sure, but that's a lot of $$, even for the lowest priced pkg. I'd like to just update the gauges, not the tach & speedo... I don't see any of the vendors offering that type of pkg. I don't want to hack up the IP either.

Power loss and vibration at low rpm, take off

The spark advance springs/mechanism was good?

    Vintage Air Firewall Installation

It's not that critical, the rubber grommets allow some movement in the lines. I did fab a small bracket to hold the heater line valve to the fender well, I didn't like it hanging on the hose.

Wipe the red & yellow dots off the tire... you won't need them :)

    Unusual radio issue

My Retrosound has done this also, about two weeks after I first installed it. I completely removed the radio, checked all the connections, reinstalled it and it's never had a problem since. I first suspected the ignition switch as the culprit...

Look what followed me home yesterday

Nice looking Massey! My dad has a '70s diesel 135 that I'm probably gonna have to deal with in the near future.

Can't find any info on this bolt needed

How about a pic to help us out here? I'm gonna guess it's a 7/16" diameter bolt...

    Transfer case drop

I've got a 4" lift on my '78, and it's got an NP208. Definitely no drop needed on the TC. The key is a double cardan joint at the slip yoke.. then just shim the rearend accordingly.

3.08 Gears. What to Swap to?

I've got factory 4:11s in my '78 K20, it's a TH400 auto. With 33s it's fine... until I get to about 60-65mph, then it definitely needs a fourth gear. I don't think this truck is worth the change though, I'll just stay in the slow lane. 3:73 would be a good all around choice.

    Dual tank solenoid valve

When I rebuilt my '78 I swapped the lines on mine so the default tank is the left side tank, that is when the solenoid is de-energized... Also had to flip the in dash switch..

    ‘83 K5 NP208/Corp 10 bolt- Front Driveshaft U-joint PN/size?

Aren't 3R are those evil bastards that have the plastic injected, and no clips? That's what my '78 GM 10 bolt had originally.

HELP! Does anyone know what this piece is called?

Make a template from the good one and cut them out of heavy plastic....

Yes, I'm new. As new as a 65 year old gearhead can be.

Welcome, love the truck & garage!!

What have you done to your square lately??

Today I had a fuel pump failure in my '78. Pulled out of a parking lot about midday (90+ degrees) she bogged and died. Got it off the side of a busy 4 lane road, pulled the pump line.. nothing. Called the wife and a wrecker.

    Aftermarket seatbelt mounting question.

After using mine for a couple of months, they're not bad, but not great either. I had to have the fixed belt shortened so the lap portion wouldn't ride up my stomach.

Good sound with one pipe only

One of the best running short track cars I ever worked on years ago had one big ole single pipe with a Supertrapp muffler..

    Made a new tool

It will certainly be a tool/fixture when I get it concreted in the hole in the ground. This beam is the upright column for a jib crane going in my new building. I'm fabbing the rail and hinges where I work part time.
