    Check local auto body businesses/supplies first, to see if anyway to avoid shipping if possible. I needed a 8' bedside and was in the area where AMD is located, central GA, stopped in and bought there hauled it home myself. AMD was great, cool showroom, we opened the box and inspected it.

    I couldn't find many choices for Squares when I was building mine. I decided on these, not loops though. These are sold by Aries(?) They aren't bolt on, it took some pretty extensive fab work.

    My first real drivable car, a cherry '71 Nova with a 250.. I'll always have a sweet spot in my memories for it. I had it bored, added a cam & header and a two carb intake.. it would out run any of the common V6 cars of that era, still got smoked by any 350 :)

    I remember my first freeze plug failure, back of the block on a 10 yr old ‘72 Corvette.. ruined the clutch disc. I had only owned the car for a couple of weeks, and it took me several days to change them all :(

    I've always done the backing plate slot.. two holes with a drill bit, then a little die grinder action. There's a rubber plug available to fit it .

    I'd use an Edelbrock mechanical pump, it has no return line, and in my opinion is superior to any of the factory style pumps available now.

    Wiring mystery

    There are complete wiring diagrams here on the Forum. This is the '77 one.. Fusible link at the starter for the supply wire to the terminal block. Another fusible link from the terminal block to the cab fuse block. I don't know if this helps,, but it can't hurt
