Is it better then a 1980 Square Body
The truck does everything an old truck needs too. It hits the mountain 4x4 trails no problems, it runs up and down the coast no problem, it takes the kids to school no problem why would I need a more powerful engine to do any of that. Remember "More then a handful is a waste"- frwgt350net

The 360 is the same motor as the 390 other then being stroked down for emissions. It's the exact same motor.- frwgt350net

Exactly 'all of sudden'. So it seems the cable end got all twisted up and snapped off, its odd it would do that all of a sudden but seems to be an easy fix. Sense this is only a ranch truck and run around town truck I think I'll just leave that adapter off for now. Don't drive fast any more anyways, rather be safe...- frwgt350net

Speedometer
The truck does not have cruise control and no there's no module, the other end goes directly into the dash and into the speedometer. So I can just remove it and what hook the cable directly into the transfer case. I'll try that in the morning.- frwgt350net

My speedometer just out of the blue quit a few weeks back, I replaced what appeared to be a damaged cable, but no luck I’m pretty certain the meter is fine, but what the heck is this thing how can I test it or where can I get a new one.
