Nobody warned me about the MPGs on these square bodies!
I think the best I did was 26 mpg. Normally around 22 mpg or so. That's 4.3L TBI, MY6 manual overdrive, 3.73 rear axle and P235/75R15 tires. Truck is a 1/2 swb, lowered about 4 inches, with the 4wd front air dam. Mine was a daily for 30 years and 200k miles. K- Keith Seymore

Transmission lengths and transmission humps for 70s trucks + clutch cylinder discussion
Floor shifted manual trans C trucks (MY6 and M20) got high humps, as did all 4wd K trucks. Column shifted 2wd C trucks (M62/M64 manual, plus all auto trans) got low hump floors. K- Keith Seymore

Deeper discussion: Not to be a pedant, but - I don't think we know that for sure. We do know base equipment is "no rear bumper". You stated you don't have the SPID label (in the glovebox) so you can't verify your truck came with RPO V43 added. You also can't order the original invoice from...- Keith Seymore

RPO V43 is for rear step bumper. No color is specified (my recollection is that factory painted step bumpers were argent silver).
