29U Midnight Blue is the exterior paint code (where "U" is "upper", or primary). ZY1 is single color paint scheme. The 29D and 29K reference the blue interior. They were morphing to the newer style SPID (with just the RPOs, no description). That Jimmy was built in Flint, Line 2. Funny thing is my 87 pick up was built on Flint Line 1. It shows the RPOs and noun name descriptions. Same plant, same model year, different SPID formats. K- Keith Seymore

I do not know. My Chevelle was the same way. When I converted to manual brakes I made them both the same size, for convenience sake. Pressure is pressure, and exerts the same force on all sides of the vessel regardless of diameter. Maybe idiot proofing, so they don't get confused in the...- Keith Seymore

Doesn't matter. The large reservoir always feeds the front discs, regardless of how it is positioned. The small reservoir works the drums, because less fluid is required for the wheel cylinders. It's the only way it can work. K- Keith Seymore

Not in '73. Front (large) reservoir feeds front brake system. When we went to the aluminum master with the plastic reservoir it switched. But the large reservoir always feeds the front discs. K- Keith Seymore
