Is this vapor locking, bad pump, or something else?

Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised because I usually pull those old carbs off and box them. I’ve never bothered to take one apart.

Is this vapor locking, bad pump, or something else?

Had not been back around it yet- Non canister and doesn’t look like it ever had one. Gas caps were off in the video but here’s what they look like And bottom of the pump. Looks like it has 3 connections. Canister location- well where one would be if it had one. Great place to...

Is this vapor locking, bad pump, or something else?

It does start off starting fluid What you see is with both caps off. Will have to figure out how to get a fuel pressure gauge on this setup. There might be one on the carb, I am not familiar with them but I am not sure a second in line after the first one that is not getting fuel would be an...

Is this vapor locking, bad pump, or something else?

I picked this truck up the other day and trying to drive it home I experienced something odd. It drove flawlessly from one station to the next 30 miles at 70+ mph. Killed it, filled it up and started to roll again. It pretty much died right out of the station and the line/filter were...

Griffin radiator no heater core outlet

I ran into this on my daughter’s truck. Ended up coming out of the water pumps top plug and the intake on the passenger side. Maybe it’s not right but it works.

    TH350C Lockup wiring

Got up and knocked this out today. Dropped the pan and it’s for sure wonky from being over tightened but replaced it with a pan with a drain and used a cork gasket along with new bolts. Been back on and full of ATF most of the day and did a few laps around some country roads out here then...

    TH350C Lockup wiring

Yes- magnet in the pan. Nothing really alarming.

    TH350C Lockup wiring

Pulled the pan off today. Nothing looked alarming. There wasn’t much of anything in the pan. The filter in place didn’t really have anything in it. The bottom side of the plug only has 2 wires going to a solenoid then to another thing. Should have taken a photo but had transmission fluid...

    TH350C Lockup wiring

Fluid looks brand new…. We had to add a lot to move it from its resting spot and it’s a constant add wherever I park it. I’ve been considering parking it on a pan to try to reuse but then my luck all the frogs around here would start turning red from getting into it.

    TH350C Lockup wiring

At the rate this thing is leaking- the pan is coming off…. It runs more of a risk being ran without fluid. Truck has been parked since 2003 just trying to get it street-able. If I need a new transmission after then that’s ok. Also- related to my original post I found this...

    TH350C Lockup wiring

My current project appears to have a th350C with the lockup. It looks like at one point it was wired up but not in a fashion that makes sense as far as color matched wires. From the fuse block to the throttle pedal there is a slider switch with a wire from the fuse and a wire that was...

Wing window in the frame using glass weld

Just an update on this. It works very well. The downside I can see with it is you will probably need a new frame if the window gets broken but that’s ok. I’ll probably go to this method on future wing rebuilds though.

Wing window in the frame using glass weld

I’ve been struggling with this wing window most of the week on a project and first I was sent the wrong frame, then the first glass setting rubber stuff was too thick, then too thin. Tonight I got the idea to use some “glass weld” stuff for installing windshields. I guess we will see how it...

    TMI Carpet- anyone used one?

I am looking to order carpet for a 79 I just had roll in and there is a TMI set locally available. It looks to be a pieced in operation vs fit. Anyone used one? I have TMI seats in one of our trucks and they are good to go but the carpet baffles me a bit.

Is there a way to install a 81-87 bumper on a 73-80 frame

LOL circling back to this as a year later and a different truck I am looking at the same issue. I am looking at abandoning my cab rework and just using a newer non rusted cab I have. It's almost like dejavu.

What would you pay for this truck?

Look around. If you’ve got 3k for that you’ve got 3k for a good unit. They are still out there. I’ve been keeping my search area out in the middle of nowhere and have pulled some decent units. It requires more of your time on the haul but it’s worth it.

Rear cab cross support- anyone sell one?

On my 77 project I think my rear cab crossover needs a LOT of love. Looking at AMD it looks like if you buy the entire floor pan you get the support. Does anyone sell just the support?

Custom C10 Seats and Door panels

I had him quote doing the buckets out of my square project and it was up there. In perspective though it was about what I paid for my TMI buckets/frame/console.

Original bucket seat cover replacements? 1977 truck

Thank you for the reply, they look similar to the low back blazer seats. I may swing that direction first.

Original bucket seat cover replacements? 1977 truck

I have a 1977 K10 project with original low back buckets. Is there a source for new covers? Are they going to be the same as the blazer low backs?

    Electronic Trans Swap

Not a 4l65e but I installed a 4L60E behind a small block. It is doable, not cheap but doable. I had to do a bit of hack at first to get the torgue converter to bolt up (I used a LS spec 4l60E). I had to have the flex plate drilled for the bolt pattern of the LS style converter and had to use a...

    6.2l L86 / 10l80 swap in a 83 k10 suburban?

Not in a burb but I started one on my c10 to k10 build. The trans was hitting the firewall but that was due to other issues. The parts exist to make it nearly a drop in conversion. I used- Swaptime Harnesses- nice unit and great customer service. At the time they couldn’t control a 10sp so...
