Engine not starting
Fast or slow cranking? My 82 would slow crank after up to operating temperature because the starter would get heat soaked from the headers.- 82sbshortbed

Talked to spray on bed liner place. 475 bucks no tax if cash. Very tempting not to have to fck with it. Drop it off 8am and done by 5 when I get off work right down the road too.- 82sbshortbed

The gates belts are the $35 ones. We'll see how long the 8.99 ones last. O'Reilly didn't have any other ones I could buy. And that one was too short. What floors me is that it was the same belt that came off but was too short. Auto zone had them in different lengths but it is a duralast belt...- 82sbshortbed

Got the alternator belt replaced on the 84. It was a biotch. I got the exact one that fell off but it was too short. Wtf? Had to get one 1.5" longer. Only one that had it was auto zone. Lol I use them least of all but they worked with finding a longer one. Saved the card board lable this time so...- 82sbshortbed

Threw the alternator belt on my 84. Went to O'Reilly to get another one. That bastard said 35 bucks. I lol and said no thanks I like my belt to be 8.99 or so. Said didn't have one. So I'll go somewhere else tomorrow. Auto zone next door was too packed. 35 bucks lmfao!- 82sbshortbed

What new tools have you got lately?
Got this yesterday. I was in the 82 letting it do it's weekly warm up while I'm not driving it due to transmission shifting problems. When it just dies. Wouldn't start back up. So me being alone it's hard to see if it has spark. I don't think it does so I got this so I can see it while cranking...- 82sbshortbed

I drove up and parked the 84 in a car show I'm not a member of. Lmfao! We usually have a local car show at the dairyland eaten place. Kinda like a sonic. I got if off, thanks y'all for the help. Mine had three Philips and one hex. Wtf? Lol Got it sanded. Ran out of light gray primer so I have some dark gray. So I'm gonna spray the middle and then wet sand it to kinda feather it around the tailgate insert. Not gonna be perfect but we'll see...- 82sbshortbed

Sanded and primered the bottom of the tailgate before the rain hit. Anyone know how to pop off the tailgate insert? That would be easier for me to sand and paint.- 82sbshortbed
