    Windshield washer motor questions

    They're in the grill behind the hood. When I first looked into the problem, I pulled the line to the jug from the motor on the firewall and blew in it to see if it was clogged with dirt and crap. It took a good breath to get bubbles in the jug. So I think the water just stays in the lines.

    There was a rust hole in the 82s hood. Grinded the rust off, then stuffed with newspaper and put bondo over it. Sanded a couple of rust spots off and sprayed primer on it. The most I'll probably do is paint it with a flat color. Or maybe leave it with primer spots. We'll see what happens. Lol...

    Also did a little body work on both of them. Found cracking Bondo on top the 84 along with a nice rust spot. Grinded off the rust and cracked bondo. Then put some more bondo on it and sanded it. Haven't put primer on yet because no bare metal is showing. I love the smell of bondo. Lol...

    Washed both of them but was too tired to do the camaro. The plan was all three to get cleaned. Took theb82 to home depot and heb after cleaning it. It was terrible from sitting under the tree for a couple of weeks since last washing. Lol Y'all gotta try this window cleaner! It works great...

    Since the pump is on the jug the lines stay primed. It's pretty instant when you hit the button. But I guess it won't hurt to put one on.

    Got the new washer pump in and wired up. Works great now. Pushed the wires down and filled the jug.

    That's awesome man! I have a tiny garage that I can't fit a car and all my tools in. The po made a bigger den by using space from the garage. I liked it at first until I started getting vehicles that I need a garage to work on them. Lol

    I like my 700r4 behind the 454 in my 82. I needed od on the highway and this worked out well for me. Now I'm under 2500 rpm at 65 to 70 with 3.73 rear end and 29" tires.     Yes I pulled the wires that went to the jug pump. They were cut. So obviously no power. Idk why he would have done that. B7t as far as I can figure the pump on the jug pumps water to the pump on the wiper motor. So I need to find the wire that is hot when I push the button. Sucks!

    I'm not getting power to the pump on the jug when I push the button. I can hear the pump on the firewall come on tho and wipers start working. So I wired up the pump to the battery and nothing either. Is there a fuse on the box somewhere for it? I didn't see one. Plus I think the pump is bad too.

    Is the washer motor on the water jug or the wiper motor? When I hit the washer button I can hear the motor on the firewall come on but nothing comes out and there's another motor or pump on the jug. It doesn't come on. So I'm confused about how this works. Thanks for any information on this...
