3rd line coming out of master cylinder?

Yes, hydraulic line just to the controller. Years before electronic brake controllers, this was the way to power trailer electric brakes. Small cylinder pushes the lever over. The more it moves, the contact moves down the resister until full power. You can fine tune by spinning the lever so it...

1977 Silverado wood grain dash bezel with stainless trim

Welcome to the forum. What I can tell you, not all the wood grain gauge clusters have that bright trim. The picture you posted is an upper trim level, maybe even a special edition trim. The scroll work on the door panel is different, many with wood grain dash also had wood grain inserts on the...

Replaced ac evaporator now pressures are off

One other way to check the evaporator for leaks is after adding the leak detector, look under the vehicle and find the evaporator condensation drain. Shine your black light there. GM used the very cold POA system until 1973. The VIR system, 2 years 1974 and 1975 depending on the vehicle line...

    1980ish K10 3 lights then 1 light on press

Could be two bad bulbs. Upper lights have two filaments, high and low beams. Lower headlights are only high beams. So driver's side has a burnt low beam filament. Passenger's side needs Upper bulb too, burnt low beam. Or the connection at the bulbs are bad. Clean and check bulb connections first.

Replaced ac evaporator now pressures are off

Loren has your answer. Simply the orifice tube holds the pressure. If the orifice tube is there, maybe it is damaged so pressure can pass around the small orifice. AC is not going to work if it can't build pressure.

Headers? worth the effort & cost?

One advantage of Tri Y headers, the third Y puts both banks together for a single exhaust, for the cat and muffler required in some states. The cat (catalytic converter) needs to be in the stock location with heat shield. Read Pennsyltucky (ask me how I know) and probably California too.

    Alignment and tire pressure question

Generally higher pressure on the highway, lower pressure off road. That is why many off roaders keep a 12V tire pump with them. AI Overview For a 35x12.50R15 Interco Super Swamper Bogger, recommended tire pressure varies significantly based on driving conditions and vehicle weight, typically...

Sorry to hear this. For many years he had vendor spaces next to me at the Carlisle Truck show. I know it was a long way to travel for the Pennsyltucky show.

    Need real-world exhaust advise

Not sure what will work for you, but I'll tell you what worked for me. First, we are talking muffler. The idea is to knock down the exhaust sound. Good flow through is secondary. On the '74 350 long tube Hookers, I tried side pipes. Maybe look cool, but not very quiet. Put on a set of turbo...

How well should compression hold the truck?

Parking brakes have regulations for commercial vehicles in Pennsylvania. Not just medium duty trucks, pickup trucks used in business too. Like so many things, the regulations are blurred. “The brake needs to hold the truck on any hill it is operated on.” There needs to be a test for this, at...

I was also wondering why people think it's an SS? A 1970 Chevy 396 (actually a 402) is indeed a great engine. Large oval ports, forged crank, pink rods and all. Not my choice for a ride, I'd keep the Rosedale red square. Oh, okay.

What have you done to your square lately??

I bought a whole system off Epay to get a good 12V compressor. Sold the tank and horns at Carlisle for the price I paid for everything. Used a California tank and horns off salvage trucks.

Air horns don't disappoint. Tank in crash position right behind the front bumper. Horns mounted to the solenoid right on the tank in the daily GMT800. Square also has the tank behind the bumper, horns just a little higher behind the grille. Both are twin trumpets. Maybe you can see them in the...

    What are these for?

@xm20k The light in the post #1 needs power. It gets power from the printed circuit on the instrument panel. The heater needs a light with power and ground. Might be the light pictured in post #6.

    What are these for?

Possible for power out to a power antenna or rear amp. The GM harnesses were were used in in other cars, like a big Caddie or Olds would have a power antenna. A Suburban might have a rear amp. I ordered my '82 without a radio, it came with no radio harness.
