    When I had my shop , if i needed a new tool for whatever. I would ask myself "how many times you gonna use this"....that determined what grade tool I bought. One time use HF or ?, more use maybe the better stuff

    Take the harmonic balancer bolt out, mount the pulley with 3 bolts and then reinstall the balancer bolt? If I'm looking at the picture correctly?

    @78C10BigTen I've used those shim/spacers many times and had very good luck with them. They will raise your rig at least 2, maybe 2 and a half times the thickness of them.

    I like the BFH method, used it exclusively for the better part of 60 years. Also the old joke.....Guy goes to his mechanic askes for a bid, mechanic says $50, guy says I would like to see an itemized account, Mechanic writes the bid...... Hitting with hammer $10....knowing where to hit $40 ;)

Hoses and belts are a given, but the speedi sleeve that I neglected to get for the Harmonic balancer that I neglected to check, won't...

    I have seen rubber grommets that fit in the big hole and size it down for the linkage.....maybe Dorman in the Help aisles???

    What new tools have you got lately?

    I had a "dish washer" in my shop down town. Maybe a bit bigger than yours, any big block that you wanted clean you could do it. Very handy.....I miss it A LOT. Always used "aluminum safe" detergent in it...kept me out of discoloring any aftermarket manifolds, wheels, etc......and it got HOT!!!
