What new tools have you got lately?

If the joint is really stuck you're gonna have to replace it if you use a pickle fork on it. It will distort the socket seat and/or the ball

    Manual Transmission Swap Options

Yeah @Ricko1966 but you're talkin a lot of@$$$$$ when you for the "special" builds. Good condition Saginaws around here are 4-5 hundred, "good" Muncies are 800 to 1200 bucks,

    Manual Transmission Swap Options

Depending on your rear AXLE ratio the Muncie may be a little steep in low gear? Not any worse than a Chevelle, Nova or Camaro, but the clutch action could be tricky. If you can find a low 1st gear Saginaw, that may be ideal. Or you can do it the way I do it in my Chevelle..........right foot...

    Pressure Brake Bleeding Question

I have a vacuum bleeder and it's great ....many other uses. I do the same as @Hunter79764 push the old fluid out, but I take it one step further. I vacuum out the master and put new fluid in and most of the time you get rid of all the old stuff except what's in the lines. Then open the lines and...

    Camber issue

@bucket When I use the shim, I get to see all the parts associated with them......brakes, rotors, hubs, bearings,...wheel and spindle. Just a lot of things to care for while it's apart. Also, it's hard to get the proper torque on the bushings and have them in the right position.

AGAIN @hoagster DAMN I like that truck

    Camber issue

Don't think you have had a "proper" alignment if the tire is wearing. 2 different ways to cure this problem, 1 is to install a shim between the spindle and the housing with the thick side down. To pick the right shim you would need a print out of the alignment angles from your last Alignment and...

    Spindle shim

I would bet money it's to decrease the camber. I would reinstall it with the thick side at the bottom.
  21. I

    Spindle shim

That's to align the front end. Do you remember the position before you took it out? Should be a thin edge and a thicker edge. Usually the thick edge is to the bottom to decrease the camber. Were the tires wearing before you took it apart? Recheck it carefully for thickness, 180 degrees...

What have you done to your square lately??

I still have the 16.5 wheels and 8.50"mud grip" tires that came new on my 75 K20. They are mounted and still hold air and I run them once in a great while when the snow gets deep

Show off your non-square project cars.

That's a great lookin' 56. Always been partial to 56 Chevys, have had 4 cars,(3 210s and a BelAir) and a swb pickup. Currently a 56 Nomad under construction. The Silver Bullet looks good , too ;)
