Clean the frame inside and outside around the steering box. Start the engine and have a 2nd person steer from full left to full right slowly. Exhaust tip location question
Welcome from Austria. Run the exhaust pipes between the frame rails to get some distance to the tanks. The driveshaft doesn't care about some heat. Wrapping the exhaust also helps to keep the temperatures down.- ali_c20

Replacing front brake lines - remove proportioning valve?
Unbolt the prop valve and unhook the brake lines from the clips. This should give you a little more room too work. -

Good sound with one pipe only
Flowmaster are known for bad drone, I had different ones on a 1 pipe setup. Removed them all. I run a 2 in 1 2.5" in 3" stainless exhaust with a big custom ( muffler shop ) wrapped perforated tube muffler. As you are in Germany I guess noise level is an issue as it is in Austria. Use the search function here. This forum contains tons of truck wisdom. Search for wiring diagrams and there is a lot of information and video material on rebuilding gauge clusters online. Parts like gauges, printed circuits, housings are available at Lmc truck, Classic parts, etc.- ali_c20

I switched to disks on my 74 C20 (14 bolt ff) because of the drums being behind the hub. The backing plates have no openings to reach the adjuster and I had a leaking seal which oiled my drums real good. I did it cause the disks are easier to check and service. You want to use adapter style spacers and get them from a company with a good reputation which tests the stuff they produce and not online China junk. I used the original mounts with summit racing brand inserts. The inserts are directional and if installed correctly all should line up. Except the after market stuff is different.- ali_c20

No issues with the driveline or steering. I had to buy a correction system for the sway bar. Got a sway bar correction and disconnect system from Offroad Design. K5 3” lift question
Do yourself a favour and get a lift spring kit with all parts and do it right. I run a 2" Tuff Country EZ ride lift on my K5. It's advertized as 2" but it's 3" when mounted. Ride quality is way better than with original springs. My 0,02$- ali_c20
