I always use jackstands, even for the smallest task. Thinking about working under a car sitting only on a jack gives me nightmares. Good thing on lifted trucks you can just crawl under them and have plenty space to work. -

need 700r4 TV cable for 6.2?
You can try the aftermarket cables, but they are hit and miss. Or get good universal like Lokar. I found 2 locations where it could be available, call them if it's really the GM cable. http://oemcats.com/oem-parts/25515599.html#shops- ali_c20

E-brake sticking after rebuild
Unhook the e-brake cable, adjust the brake and test drive it. Are there grooves in the backing plate where one of the shoes could get caught? I had this problem on my wife's 66 Impala that the new brake shoes where way thinner (pad material 50% thickness) and got stuck in the grooves the old... -

C10 Motor/Frame Mounts
There are 2 different height clamshell brackets in the camaros. Measure the distance of the hole center to the mounting surface. 2 5/8 is used on the camaros but I don't know what height mounts were used in Squarebody trucks.- ali_c20

86 Jimmy center caps and hood emblem
New hood emblems are available at LMC, Classic industries, etc. I have the ornaments from LMC and they are good quality. The center cap stickers from LMC are "GM Official Licensed Product is purchased from an authorized GM Licensee." I have the 4x4 LMC center caps on my K5 and the color matches...- ali_c20
