    Check all fuel hoses, if one is cracked others could be to. Fix it and test what happens when you reattach the vacuum hose.

    Welcome from Austria. Post more Information about the 305. California emissions? Federal? None? Carb? Tbi? Stock? Modified? Get a Vacuum diagram for your truck and trace the disconnected line. It looks like it goes into the T on the pic and from there it goes to ?.

    Welcome from Austria. Nice truck. You will burn your transmission when you overheat it or if the TV cable is not adjusted right. The transmission doesn't care about tire size.

    The resistance of your spark plug wires should match your ignition system. The lower the resistance the more energy is transmitted to the spark plug but I never heard that a cap/rotor burns from too low Ohm rating of the spark plug wires...

    ^^^^^ This ^^^^^ Welcome from Austria. 305 and 350 have the same cast on the outside. Just get the same year/type crate as the engine that's in your truck and everything will fit.

    Welcome from Austria. I would try to rebuild it. You can save hundreds of $. It can be done with basic hand tool, lots of lube, patience and swearing. Search the internet and the forum for information.

    VSS is connected to the ECM and gives input needed for fuel, EGR, torque converter lockup and other things afaik. Speedos with VSS and VSS buffers are available online.

    I have the same thread engagement on my 66 Impala with open lug nuts. Never had a problem.

    Too much tire?

    The stock axles would be ok if you're only driving on pavement or dirt roads. My offroad driving friends say not bigger than 35s on the half ton axles. For harder offroad use even smaller like 33s. You can beef up the stock stuff but that's not cheap too. Best would be to find 1 ton axles. My 0.02$

    What is the bore of the new master cylinder? Is it the same as on the old master cylinder? Smaller bore makes a softer feel and longer pedal travel. Bigger bore hard and less travel travel to sum it up quick and dirty.

    Wife's Mustang has a Borgeson box and it looks to me that they need more pressure to operate. K5 has an aftermarket box too.

    Pump is not making enough pressure on low rpm. Have this issue on my K5 and Wife's Mustang. Below ~700 rpm no power steering on the Mustang and a bit on the K5.
