Starting issues with "unknown" positive or negative cable, I jump on those first. I've also learned, if you don't have the cables/connectors, look for vendors in you area that will make them. What have you done to your square lately??
[edit] quoted wrong post....anyway. When I had saddle tanks I used the silver bubble wrap (insulation) for anti-squeak. You can also use large bicycle tubes or roofing tar paper. Just a thought. -

before I went LS, I came across a 1.5" vacuum gauge on an old peice of medical equipment hitting the dumpster. I bent some cheap metal and mounted it next to the carb. Made myself a mental note of what normal was. This helped out a few times before going LS. Haven't built one for the LS yet.- Camar068

@JGV66 you can also use your existing behind the seat plates to mount component speakers......if you plan to use a behind the seat sub. If mine looked worth a crap I'd put up pics. What have you done to your square lately??
personally, I hate clamps because the rust and get stuck and require cutting. The fight to me isnt worth the time and labor for an attempt thats highly probable to fail and a PITA on manifolds.....unless you can weld. Since lesson learned, I take it to a welder and tell them to weld it front... -

2.5" or 4" Lift 1986 K10
I see a bit of rake. If thats a concern, an easy fix might be the Monroe coil overs on the front. I've got them on a stock k10 (front/rear) and it leveled it out. What gauge size/diameter to replace stock ??

LMC AC controller has too many detents
If your not happy, 6 on the label and 7 detents.....send it back. You didn't get what you paid for. Having to put it in between is something you do on a part thats 20 years and older and needs to be replaced lol. Just my thoughts lol.- Camar068

LED Shop Lights That Last??
Thanks, was a Fathers Day gift 2 years ago from daughter and grand kids. Smaller print says toys fixed for free. I can't tell you how many times I've had to "fix" the rubics cubes lol. I downloaded the utube video's for future use. -

I got Barrina LED lights for the garage. They are $50 for a 6 pack on amaswan. To space them out you need to buy extensions for $15. You can daisy chain all of them together so you only need one power source for 6. My garage is 25x25' with 8 ft ceilings. I did get some flashing from Lowes... -
What new tools have you got lately?
Everyone needs a Chapman set. I've been using one at home and work since the early '90's. Great for tight spots, and a small easy (not roll up kit) with about every bit you need. Don't get on amazon....look elsewhere for a better price. Chapman Set -
Period correct wheels for 86 K10 Stepside?
if you like the height of the truck, I'd stick with the 33's and I'd google M/T mudders vs Courser CXT and then Courser MXT. Open it up to other tire manufacturers as well. Both that I mentioned are not as aggressive as the M/T with the CXT being the least aggressive and better road ride...- Camar068
