    Need help. 2009 Titan

One thing it does need, is the overhead console. The door is broken. If anyone knows where I can find one cheap, let me know please.

    Need help. 2009 Titan

I haven’t seen another puff of smoke since. Full disclosure, after talking to him about it, he made an offer I couldn’t refuse. I went ahead and bought it and have been daily driving it for a week now. Not another hint of smoke, but I did go ahead and change the pcv valves yesterday just to be...

    Need help. 2009 Titan

Lol I’ve never been a fan of the tundra styling. They’ve always looked funny to me. I appreciate everyone’s input. I think I’m just going to pass on this one altogether. There have just been too many red flags. Like it’s just not meant to happen.

    Need help. 2009 Titan

Well that’s what he has in it. He’s just breaking even. He’s a business guy, NOT truck guy lol.

    Need help. 2009 Titan

I was thinking 12k wasn’t too bad. Around here most 4x4 crew cab full size trucks are 18k +, and that’s with 100k miles or more. They’re very popular here in NC. And believe me, I’ve been looking. I never admitted to being right all the time though.

    Need help. 2009 Titan

I was going to give 12k for it. But I really don’t like the idea of having to fix a truck that I’m making payments on. If it’s pcv valve and gummed up valve covers, that’s fine. I can do that myself. But if it’s more serious, that creates a problem.

No it’s more like the second crank. Before he revved it. And it only did it at startup, and then it cleared up.

    Need help. 2009 Titan

I need some help guys. I’m looking at a 2009 Nissan Titan, 126k miles. 5.6 liter engine. My father in law bought it a month or so ago to flip, and I was going to sign the papers on Monday. But today it blew a huge blue cloud on startup. So now I’m concerned. I’ve read that it could be anything...

    Rally wheel trim rings

It’s no real rush. I still need to paint the wheels. Just keep me posted.

    TOW HOOKS

They do change. 73-80 are shaped like a candy cane, 81 and up are shaped like the curved one pictured above. The 81-up are easier to find, there are usually several sets on eBay. I don’t have a spare set, or I’d hook you up.

What have you done to your square lately??

That is a level of cheapness that I’ve never experienced before.....

    Carpet vs vinyl

That looks great! In my younger, muddier days, I was all about vinyl in my trucks. I must be mellowed in my old age, because now I lean towards comfort and quiet. I think I’m going to give it a shot. My vinyl mat is shot anyway. I may keep the seat vinyl for now, but I’ll be checking for oval...

    Headliners

Thanks. I’ve never really been in one of these trucks with a headliner, so I’ve never really seen how it attaches. I think this will make a difference in overall comfort level of the cab.

    Headliners

So to go along with my carpet thread, I’m thinking about putting a headliner in as well. My painted roof gets too hot to touch in the summer time. How are headliners held up in these trucks? Are they screwed in, or held in by trim? How is the a pillar trim held in?

    Carpet vs vinyl

My truck is a custom deluxe, so zero options. It currently has just a vinyl mat under your feet, bare metal under the seat and up the back of the cab, and a vinyl seat. The floor mat is pretty ratty, and my seat is starting to show some wear. What’s the benefit of carpet instead of vinyl? I...

What style lug nuts did rally wheels use?

That’s what I had in mind, thank you for the confirmation. They should be easy to locate.

What style lug nuts did rally wheels use?

I’ve never really paid attention, but now I need some. I’m assuming they use a chrome acorn style?

    Rally wheel trim rings

Looking for a full set of stainless trim rings to fit a set of 15x8 rally wheels. Looking for the same size as pictured, 3” wide maybe?

    Bumper guards

I say go for it. I took my winch bumper off, and put the factory bumper on my 78. It looks much cleaner. And, if you do decide to go that route, my cousin in SC might be interested in buying your winch bumper. He wants one for his 77 short bed.

    Wagon wheels? Can’t decide.

I found this picture of the rally wheels, borrowed trim rings and no canter caps. I have the caps now but I need some rings. Definitely going to paint them and try them out.

    Wagon wheels? Can’t decide.

I just texted him. Trading my wagon wheels and tires for his rally wheels. Score!

    Wagon wheels? Can’t decide.

They’re actually not that old. More like saggy springs I suspect.

    Wagon wheels? Can’t decide.

Well, they didn’t fit on the passenger side. I guess it sits just a bit lower. I bolted them on, backed out of the driveway and it caught in the back side of the fender. Crap. Oh well, I guess they’ll be up for sale. I don’t want to lift it, and I definitely don’t want to cut my fenders.

    Wagon wheels? Can’t decide.

Messed around and mounted up a 33 on one of the wagon wheels. Fit great at stock height, and definitely made the truck look beefy. I like them better now.

What’s the best quality throw out bearing?

I had to replace the throw out bearing in my truck roughly a year and a half, and 3k miles ago. Now it needs another one. So, where can I get the absolute best, OE quality bearing? Cost isn’t much of an issue at this point, I’m just over pulling the transmission.
