    you jumper AB, turn ignition to ON but do not start, leave it for 30sec, turn ignition to OFF, remove jumper. then start the truck and see what IAC and the idle do. I think having AB jumpered when you start is some sort of diagnostic mode or something. I dont recall off the top of my head.

    you should be doing better than 8mpg with an OD transmission (assuming you have some highway time mixed in). my 1990 burb with 33s, 700r4, 350tbi will pull down 13ish on the highway at ~75mph unless i am fighting wind. around town it does 10.5ish.

    I like the eaton tru trac limited slip... I'll echo above that 6in and 35s with a 10 bolt is a tall order. 2-4in and 33s is about the max I'd consider and i would regear to 3:73 or 4:10 in that scenario.

    if you are dropping the tanks and the sending units are not working right (assuming you diagnose it to bad sending units) id definitely replace them while the tanks are out.

    IMHO you are really over thinking this. A wide range will give good results. I think anything below 1.25v doesn’t set a TPS voltage code. If you are in the 0.5-0.8 range at idle I’d not sweat it. And if you have that and also >4.0 at wot on the skinny pedal then all is good.

    How are you adjusting the TPS voltage? The actual voltage shouldn’t affect idle speed. Bending the tab will drop the top end voltage. But not enough to matter.

    none of those numbers are out of whack enough to cause a problem. Just run them.... edited - 0.98 at idle is a tad high, although i think is still below what will throw a code. I'd just bend the TPS tab to get it closer to 0.7 and run it.

    Sounds like a blend door issue. The vertical piece on the duct under the dash comes out pretty easily. Take it off and see what the problem is.

    VSS is used for TCC lockup and maybe for some other things. if your VSS is squirrely or the speedo is way off from actual because of tire size and nobody corrected the DRAC, it will have bad drivability on the highway for sure.
