Rear brakes locking up information for you

So, breakbooster/master cylinder, then Wilwood adjustable proporportioning block, then same combination valve (has standoff and shuttle), then 10lb residual pressure valve in-line somewhere in-line for rear? Do I potentially need to change the type of combination valve (PV2 generic, although I...

Rear brakes locking up information for you

So, basically (if I understand) the new aftermarket combination valve doesn't proportion (70/30) correctly? Thus we install a little proportioning (inline to rear) to adjust pressure down because rears sometimes lock up? Our combination valve is too generic, they are very specific in their...

What did you fix on your daily, today?

Lol, not a daily but wanted to post somewhere. Helped Dad air up tires. It is very difficult for him to do now. It is hard to give perspective of how huge this thing is and how space shuttle like it is with gadgets. 45' + car they tow behind. He took it to Alaska...

    Installing a factory tach cluster in a 1987 V10 350TBI. Do I need a tach signal filter?

What have you done to your square lately??

Oh, ^^^ yes we used to have an older guy that rebuilt electric motors (when I was a teenager). Maybe I'll take an alt apart one day, but not likely, lol. I couldn't charge someone enough to rebuild them as a side hustle. Miss when it was affordable to fix some things and not just toss as...

What have you done to your square lately??

Yes, I considered in my case of pulling apart and fixing, but glad I didn't. Plus didn't make sense since under warranty. What's happening in our case is if you tighten + nut on rectifier, it loosens when you take off. I talked to a guy who used to rebuild and he suggested that it's good I...

Rear brakes locking up information for you

Yes, quite a few posts. My daughter said the truck locked up on her twice yesterday. Once when backing out of the garage and once at school parking lot to go forward. She said she went back and forth from R to D with foot on brake and that seems to resolve for now. I do know it seems to...

What have you done to your square lately??

When I was working on my 1990 Johnson boat motor, the manual recommended an analog multimeter for some things which made sense. My Dad is the only person I know that has a working one, Lol. I like the incandescent bulb, have plenty on the peg board, but do have a 12v test light.

What have you done to your square lately??

It's wild to think that these alts get shipped all the way to China to get refurbished and back to only pay a $100ish for it. But, I did go through two...loose rectifier.

What have you done to your square lately??

Any fixing takes forever. In the end, only YOU can appreciate the work you put into it. And someone else who has done that too, can smile when they see it!

What have you done to your square lately??

Looks like you do what I do, whether it is a crimp or solder butt splice, I still cover with heat shrink. I hope it doesn't corrode. If the wire gets tugged on I could see it coming apart, dunno.

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah, I don't think I've hand washed anything in at least 10 years or so, don't really know. But my daughter convinced me to wash my truck too. Lol

    ALDL data logging

Ours is a 454 and functions as you described in the last paragraph exactly. Have only started looking at data via WinALDL, 4800 baud, using normal pins NO 10k resister. Also, still single wire O2 at stock exhaust manifold drivers side.
