    Hydro boost install not working

Thanks for the great info guys I really appreciate this community. Bit of an update. I took a closer look at the plumbing diagram above and realized I had the pressure in and pressure out lines backwards at the HB. I went ahead and drained out the ATF I had in there and replaced with PS fluid...

    Hydro boost install not working

The hydroboost and master cylinder came pre-assembled and bolted together from Performance Online, so I'm guessing the throw rod should be correct already. in your experience, is the brake pedal supposed to be changed to a HB compatible pedal? I'll take a closer look at my pedal when I get...

    Hydro boost install not working

Just a quick thought - in your first picture above, it shows the bypass on the booster on the same side as the high pressure outlet. I have mine plumbed in as the high pressure inlet on the same side as the bypass. Is it possible to have the high pressure inlet and outlet backwards, or does that...

    Hydro boost install not working

Thank you for the reply 1 - I'm going to go ahead and drain that ATF and replace with PS fluid today 2 - I thought about a cooler, but literally idling for two minutes and that hose is pretty warm to the touch. It just doesn't seem right, even without a cooler. I'd think I would at least get...

    Hydro boost install not working

Hey all. Just finished up with my hydroboost install. Something's not right and I can't quite figure out where I went wrong. The brakes are even worse than when I started - when in gear, I have to put all of my 220 pounds on the brake just to stop in idle. The old vac booster was removed and I...

Dual tank fuel gauge makes no sense.

I actually used your thread pretty extensively when I converted my 77 last year, so thanks for that
  7. D

Fuel gauge won't read below 1/2 tank, electrical or mechanical issue?

Back when I changed both my sending units, I believe they were sold separately for drivers side and passenger side. Maybe you got the wrong one?

    Truck left me stranded today.

After I swapped to EFI, I ran a frame mounted pump for all of a week before it overheated and almost left me stranded on a trail. I ended up swapping both tanks with new EFI tanks and in tank pumps and have been great since

    Help selecting a few items

Time for this years project - completely revamping the brakes on my 77 K10. I was hoping for some help in selecting a few kits. Budget is between 3 and 4k I’m going to be swapping to a Hydroboost system and have this one picked out - thoughts...

EFI Dual Tank Conversion, need help on power 4 the pumps.

Just an update - FINALLY finished everything this morning. It went from what I thought would be a one week upgrade to close to three months. New fuel tanks, brackets, straps, pumps and senders. New fuel filler hoses on both sides. All new fuel line up to the Pro Flo 4 system and back again. I...

EFI Dual Tank Conversion, need help on power 4 the pumps.

That makes more sense. Most ofy confusion was thinking you had everything going through a single switch

EFI Dual Tank Conversion, need help on power 4 the pumps.

So are you using two separate switches? One to control which pump is currently powered, and another to control the six port valve and fuel gauge?

So the power wires for the dual pumps aren't being routed through the selector valve? I do appreciate the help and I'm not a moron I swear lol... Electrical just doesn't click very well in my brain unless I really map it out in my head

Cool, thank you. I'm looking back a few pages at the diagram you drew for me - how do you have this wired into your fuel selector valve?

Here's a few pictures of the connector off the PF and the pump

Mine def has a connector. When I ordered my original fuel pump, I had to find a connector that matched to wire it into the pump. I'll post a picture when I get back home

Do you have any pictures of how you mounted those relays or anything? What did you do with your PF4 pigtail to get the ground? Did you cut the connector off? What did you do with the positive wire, just tape it up or something? And how did you know which of the two wires was the ground?

The output of the EFI being the two wire pigtail that is meant for the fuel pump? I'm assuming it's the same wiresninhad connected to my previous external pump that was pulling through the six port valve

And another question, because I'm trying to understand how this works. Does this setup mean that the power to both pumps is always active, but we're activating whichever pump we want to run by turning the ground off/on?

Hey buddy. So I have both my tanks installed, all the plumbing ran and everything ready to go except wiring, which I decided to attempt to tackle today. Looking at your diagram, I can just ground the two pump grounds to the frame, in the same place I grounded my senders to? I hope you or...

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I don't know about that. I just replaced mine because I was replacing everything else anyway

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

My 77 frame has holes where the strap nuts are accessible

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I actually have all my lines replaced already with stainless braided, I did that last year when switching to EFI. The old steel lines are still in place, but abandoned. Thanks for the tip about the switch, too I appreciate the heads up on that

    Fuel tank mounting brackets

I dropped both of mine from underneath, brackets and all. But my bed wasn't removed. When I dry fit my new tanks into the new brackets/straps, I set the brackets/straps on the ground and dropped the tank into them from above, so guessing you may be able to wiggle just the tanks out from above...
