Need advice on what to do.

Not only that, but that rust is in places that are somewhere between very difficult and almost impossible to fix properly. While different ball game when the upper cab/ big pinch weld seams are rusted through. Pretty much a deal breaker or certainly way harder than finding a decent cab...

Anyone live in Portland, OR have a shop they like? Need to pass emissions…

^Oops I replied to an old question. Answer remains unchanged though. Easier ways to get er done than spending a bunch of time and $ when it could be spent on horsepower or paint.

Cut a one port out of a junk car and attach it under the dash. Wire some of the pins randomly to 12v and tell them to plug it in….or kiss your azz! Or change the ref address to anywhere outside Porthole or Medford proper where there’s no requirement over 20 yrs old. Or if you’re bent on...

    17 inch steel wheels- 81 C10 2wd 5/6 static drop.

19s are not cheaper than 18s. Not apples to apples anyway. Not to mention that 19s are almost not an option at all for anything that would fit this truck and 100% not available in the style he’s looking for.

Except that is literally not the look he’s going for.

    E85 conversions considering gas prices

5 bucks worth of sea foam to a 5 gal can of non Ethanol is roughly equal to the cost of 5 gal of 100LL. Been using 100LL for stuff that sits a long time like small 2 cycle tools, splash a gallon the generator when putting it away for the spring after powers out season, etc. Bonus, it smells...

What have you done to your square lately??

Agree, I’d try to find a way to mount them in the bumper holes. I always thought that would be cool. Under with OE fog light cutouts before they made em with lights mounted in the bumper.

    Hitch bolts

Are the other bolts tight? They look like it. If you loosen them all up may get enough slop to get the other ones in. Or closer to fitting. Either way, I’d ream em and stuff em. And then crank the **** out of them. You’ll get a lot of clamping force and the rest of the bolts will take the shear.

Electric or mechanical pump? Never seen a mech pump make too much pressure for any carb.

    Beauty Rings/With or Without

Oh! I only saw 2 zeros. To be fair if everything is new you’d be $2k into a set of 4 like the picture. Personally I think people who try to get new-new price for new-used stuff are annoying. But no one is forced to purchase. That wheel set at a swap meet $2k on the masking tape hopefully...

    Beauty Rings/With or Without

Well that’s what we get for guessing…. I’d call it the whole set of 4 tires wheels rings and center caps. Otherwise it would make no sense to write the rim size on there. Anyone actually buying already knows they’re 15s and width dont matter for skinny rings. And ain’t reasonably dismounting...

Odd "Misfire"? on 2013 Yukon Denali

Getting your wife a short bus to daily may induce other issues that are easier to diagnose but emotionally harder to solve…..I’d stick with the snack wagons if you value the relationship with your wife! Lol

Is that a single DIN with a larger screen or did you have to hog out an even bigger hole in the dash? Looks good!

    Problems with new clutch material

I ASSumed first gear = #1 gear. We are also assuming he has the old original granny low 4 speed. This is why complete descriptions are important. Nonetheless a couple things are true. 1. Has nothing to do with asbestos content of clutch lining. 2. IF it’s a non synchro 1st then the behavior...

    Paint search

So it looks to be original color, but you don’t want to do that? Asking what color to paint YOUR car is like getting on here and asking what shirt to wear to work that day. Really seems like a personal type decision.

    1980ish K10 3 lights then 1 light on press

Tail lights have body grounds. Clean those up as well as the sockets. And when in doubt hook up a temp ground. Like if you’re not certain of the condition of the bed to frame ground strap, make a temporary ground.

    Lowered c20 suburban and rake

Well, I mean, you know, opinions are like assholes…right? Personally I think squarebodys in particular with the lower rear fender opening than the front look squatty if truly leveled. Whereas matching how the wheels are framed in the wheel well looks better. (Equal gap or coverage from top of...

    Alignment and tire pressure question

20-25 sounds aboot right. More in front, less in rear. Look at a load/pressure chart for that size tire and use your approx axle curb weights. 3klb front, 2klb rear is a solid approximation for a 1/2 ton 4x4. Stiff heavy wall 35s on the K20 I’m at 30F 25R iirc.
